maybe we can get him to walk on. i dont see him being really highly ranked so maybe he would prefer being here at the hometown school rather than going to a low major type program.
Love to hear comments like that and love to keep hometown talent. Unfortunately for him though, we’ll likely be using that last scholarship on a big.

just spoke with my friend who is a coach at WC…Apparently Julius had to switch schools due to re-zoning last year and played at West Meck with T Will last year as well. He says Julius has a great stroke but needs to tone down some… A lil hefty for a sg
He and T Will are cousins, i believe.
what schools are after him? with his relation to t will, maybe we can convince him to be a prefered walk on.

I think it’s insane that you guys haven’t even seen him play and you say he is walk-on material.

Also, I agree with SF that it is ridiculous that people are calling him walk-on material. Walk-on material generally doesn’t have Scout, Rivals, or ESPN profiles.
I guess I took it the walk on comments were coming because we really need a big for 2012 and will already have 3 SG’s next year in Deuce, Williams and Lester and Mayfield can even play some 2. If he’s a 2013 that chages everything because we are losing Deuce and Mayfield will be a senior, I guess some are thinking he can walk on like Harris did and if he’s a good player he’ll play anyway… at least that’s how I took it.

As of now he is WALK ON MATERIAL! Have I met him in person? No. But I do know that Rivals does not think he is good enough to warrant a scouting report. Scouts would appear to second this opinion by also not having a scouting report. ESPN does have on, sure, and they are saying he is a 79 one star…ONE star. So according to ESPN he is a:
“70-79: Low-major prospect: Player is a low-major Division I prospect”
Again its nice that he wants to come play here…but right now he have better options such as Gill,Thornwell, or Mitchell.
It is also ignorant to simply call someone else ignorant with out first trying to understand their side of the discussion.
I like that he likes us. I trust our coaching staff. Our freshman class looks really good. The coaches know what they are doing.
