George Mason?!!? :)
My thoughts exactly. George Mason?

George Mason?!!? :)
My thoughts exactly. George Mason?
Not sure why that is a surprise, since it’s not the first time it’s happened. The name ā€œAndre Corneliusā€ should ring a bell!

George Mason and us have the same number of Final Four appearances.

I was alive for 1 of those!

From Reggie Rankin at ESPN…

• Guard Kareem Canty (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughllin) is a dynamic prospect in the 2011 class. He is very athletic and an explosive scorer. He may have been a major sleeper coming into the AAU 17 & Under nationals, but he has shown here that he is a top-level recruit. He is very quick off the dribble and has the ability to create his own shot as well as creating scoring opportunities for his teammates. The 5-9 PG is a big-time player.

BTW, that same piece also mentions 6-6 SF DeMarcus Harrison (2011) of Greenwood, SC and 6-3 SG Rodney Purvis (2013) of Raleigh. I know Xavier is recruiting the latter (+ GT, UVa, VT, Wake, etc.), while the former has offers from BYU, Clemson, CofC, UVa, etc. Not sure if Niners are involved with either one.

per TheRecruitScoop:

Arizona is now showing interest in NYC point guard Kareem Canty '11. Canty has a top 4 of Rutgers, St. Bonaventure, George Mason & Hofstra
Kareem Canty RT @TRUE_NU: My school list contains Alabama, Rutgers, St. Bonaventure and George Mason.

ESPN Top 100 Harrison commits to BYU. Don’t know if Major ever made any overtures to him, but a moot point now.
