KJ’s younger brother, also plays at West Rowan HS. Not sure if we are after him. Currently the leading scorer for the Falcons. Looked pretty impressive when I saw him last year as a Freshman. Definitely someone we should keep our eye on.
I have no idea if we are recruiting him, but I don’t think it would be a stretch to say we are keeping tabs on him with KJ here. They have a great bloodline.
Is he the starting qb for their football team? If so I don’t think basketball will be his meal ticket to a college scholarship. There were so many Sherrill’s on that team I couldn’t keep track of them all.
that’s all of 5 minutes from me. ugh.
game was at West Rowan, so don’t feel as bad. Keshun had a game high 26 points for the Falcons and led them to a 74-61 victory.
West (18-6) will welcome Waddell (16-8) to Mount Ulla on Wednesdaynight. The Raiders, who are the No. 2 seed from the MEGA 7, won 78-59against SPC No. 3 seed A.L. Brown on Monday.
Looks like he will be playing Jervon Pressley’s team on Wednesday night.
Note: No idea if we’re recruiting him, but being he’s KJ’s younger brother it’s worth following.
I’ve seen him play once, and that was when he was a Freshman. Looked fluid and had a smooth stroke. Doesn’t look like he will be as tall as KJ, barring a huge growth spurt.
Ke’Shun Sherrill 5’10″ 165 PG 2012 West Rowan HS (NC)Annually one of the top teams in the state of North Carolina, West Rowan has another Sherrill to keep that tradition alive. The long list of the Sherrills’ include Scooter (former NC State player), KJ (plays for UNC-Charlotte) and KJ Sherrill a football an basketball star in his own right at West Rowan. Now its Keshun, a speedy 5’10 PG with his lone offer coming from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC. He also informed me that he is gaining interest from Virginia Military Institute and North Carolina A&T. Keshun averaged 21.1 points a game last season for West Rowan
I believe West Rowan is a little down this year but Ke’Shun appears to be putting up solid numbers. He was the leading scorer in the Sam Moir Classic (holiday tournament hosted by Catawba College) where there were quite a few D-1 prospects playing inlcuding a few 2k has indicated we might be looking at.
