April, 2010: Smith is an attacking guard that puts pressure on the opponent at both ends of the floor. He did a nice job running the squad at Big Shots DC Assault and showcased that he can really score it as a combo guard as well. His game is to get it to the rim and create off the drive. He is receiving interest from Baylor among others. July, 2009: Smith is a strong lead guard that is also a good athlete. He is tough, physical and pushes the ball with good speed, quickness and court vision. Smith has a pass first mentality and does a good job of advancing the ball on the fast break to keep constant pressure on the transition defense. Smith has a strong handle as he weaves through traffic and possesses a great burst of speed to beat defenders. Smith does a great job of setting the offense and although he needs to improve his perimeter shooting Smith scores on strong drives to the rim where he can finish through contact on a consistent basis with either hand and is terrific at driving, drawing and kicking to open teammates with crisp and sharp passes. Smith also applies excellent ball pressure on the defensive end with his quick hands and lateral for speed.NotesTravel Team: Baltimore Elite...

Kevin is not at Calvert Hall he is at Digital Harbor in Baltimore. Typical hard nosed Baltimore kid. A better all-around PG than Tyler Lewis. He can beat anybody off the dribble, good passer and plays in attack mode. Perimeter game is fair but improving. He must continue to stay focused in the classroom. He is someone I hope this staff goes after. Kevin would be a very good addition at PG. I would love to see him in Charlotte green.

THIS KID IS A KEEPER

I saw that he was at Huntington Prep in WV, I’ll update the first post

He’s lost considerable weight.
