I’m talking football coach.

Guess that creates a little more room for change in our AD. We have to be getting close to replacing most of the top level staff from the Mike Hill era. I could be wrong but it seems like 3 or 4 have left or been replaced in the last year.

For those that aren’t in the know… who is this?

Hill replaced Kim Whitestone upon latter’s retirement.

Anyway, another opportunity for White to hire a fellow alum.

Maybe we can now hire someone with football experience to be in charge of our football program? :man_shrugging:

We’ll see but I feel like Kevin White will end up being a good Football AD.

As noted earlier, White had quite a bit of football administrative experience before coming to CLT.

I was referring to Reagan Hill being our current (now former) Football administrator in the AD.

It might help our football program if our next football administrator has some experience with football.

Hill did before she came to the QC and will now be second in command of the entire athletic department at Oregon State.

Can someone tell me what the football administrator does? Because if it has anything to do with our football program’s success rate, not good signs.

All non-player related business of the football program.

When Chris Thomasson served as associate AD for football, his responsibilities included budget oversight, equipment and apparel contract negotiations, and liaison with campus constituents in parking, facility management, housing and campus dining, as well as the Dean of Students, Admissions and Financial Aid offices.

Anyway, all of our athletic programs have an administrator and not something unique to the 49ers AD.

Reagan also worked with NCAA compliance to get players eligible. I remember a couple years ago she worked her tail off to get someone eligible. Omega Blake maybe?

I would assume Reagan was one of the candidates for the AD job here as the internal candidate and the experience requirements to get the job did not include having to of been a sitting AD or an AD in the past.

I was surprised when we didnt hire a sitting AD or someone who had been an AD in the past who could fix all our problems.

Yep, it’s been forever since we did that but talk about a disaster! Of course, college athletics is a totally different landscape now.

I think White will be fine. He just needs time to figure out what to do about football. It only took him a few weeks on the job to figure out the status quo wasn’t good enough for basketball. Mike left football in a much worse situation, so we have to give White time to fix it.
