That’s awesome! Congrats Keyshawn, you’re in some good company and we are thrilled to see you in Niner Green next year!
Previous NC Gatorade POY winners include:
Rodney Purvis
Marshall Plumlee
Ty Walker
Chris Paul
Mitchell Baldwin (Ah, I remember those days)
Jason Parker
Jeff Capel
Jerry Stackhouse
Impressive, he sounds like a good player and a good teammate. I’m excited to see what he can do for the Niners.
I have to wonder if he would’ve gotten some more offers if he hadn’t signed in the early period. He grew to 6’5", apparently has a good midrange game, plays tenacious D, and stars for one of the better teams in the country. These qualities suggest he’ll transition pretty smoothly to making an impact in the college game.
So the NC Gatorade Player of the year is a 2 start recruit on ESPN? :
You really wonder about the hype machine when you see stuff like this.
clt just looked into the award. It includes academics and high character as criteria. clt bets that a generic UNC CHeat player that was suspended was at least a 4 star.
I’m very excited about the recruits/transfers we have coming in next year and looking forward to having much more success. I’ve put this past crap season behind me and I’m moving on. I personally could not stand not seeing these guys play every game I can get to and supporting them and the program as much as I always have. I love our school and our teams regardless of coaches or AD.
Others, do what you need to do, or not do, to move on in your own way.
Now I (and I invite all of you to join me) PRAY that we have no transfers out, and everyone stays healthy. AMEN!
