Wasn’t gonna post this because this site has had enough bad news but no sense in dragging it out. Might as well take our lumps all together and this was gonna break soon anyway. Hopefully, this won’t happen but Kummer has some personal ties to the area which doesn’t help so who knows…
At least he would be moving on to advance his career with the chance of being a head coach. If any of our assistants get can head coaching jobs they should at least consider.
It's fitting let the door hit em were the good lord split em. Atleast I will stay a Niner till I die.
If he can land a head coaching job, he’s got to take it. I’m sure there aren’t a ton of assistants who aspire to be an assistant for their entire coaching career…
At least he has connections to the state of Texas. And I can not fault an assistant for wanting to be a head coach either. And I think we all can agree that timing is everything.
Good for him, i’m sure every assistant coach in college basketball wants to be a head coach. I wouldn’t have a problems with Hill leaving if it wasn’t for the fact the deal is so dirty.

Agree 100%. Totally different situation than with Dalonte. Good for Kummer if he lands it. Just still sucks seeing all of this happen to us at once.
Sorry HP…I didn’t even think about your other photo…haha. Went right over my head, no pun intended.

Great point. The more former niners that are head coaches the better!

Exactly... Me personally, I love having an alum as our head coach. The only way for us to keep that going is to have alums that are options when a coaching change comes about. The more niners we have at head coaching positions around the country the better...

It’s okay jcl. Someone would have figured it out. I had several San Antonio photo references to play out there though, the coonskin cap, Davy Crockett, the Alamo, Tim Duncan, Riverwalk, Taco Bell.
Unfortunately. I do not think we are finished with the rough sailing even after Kummer. Unsucessful seasons usually bring this on with the pressures of today to win.
The more alumni we get in prominent positions the better. If Kummer does take the job I wish him luck and frequent visits to Halton that will result in losses.
If you love 'em (NINERS), you gotta let 'em go. That’s how I raised my sons and they are strong, independent and doing great.
Good luck De and Bobby and anyone else that wants to leave for their dream. I got to believe that our program is larger than any individual in it, now or previously. If you don’t think that, your vision of/for NINER NATION is lacking.
GO NINERS!!!
Good news for Kummer. I never had a problem with him leaving with Wat, welcomed him back, and wish him success at UTSA. He lost two teeth playing for us, he’s a Niner. I actually think although he was the most “junior” of Bobby’s assistants, he was the best.
