Thats amazing to me you are fine with that. I think you are like a frog who wont jump out of boiling water. Gradually you have come to expect his charade. He offers no hope, no promise to get better. Thats a leader of an org???
Just milking our students for 500k. Ka ching.
I think heâs done a lousy job this year and have said as much. If we fire him I hope itâs for that reason, not something like coachspeak at a presser or the color of his tie or something else that doesnât make a hill of beans.
He was answering questions in a calm tone? He uses cliches? He doesnât publicly admit that the team is losing and has little chance for success in the future? Terrible! And to think of all the big-time recruits that watch this interview of the coach and decide not to come here!
This is not the final nail in anything. He could be a slick interview and nobody would care because the team is losing. This picking at Majorâs public persona is such a waste of time.

You guys can poo poo his awful demeanor all you want. When representing the program, the delivery is just as important as the message. Not only has the guy missed the boat on what his job is, he does a terrible job articulating it.

That is a terrible quote. I think it is odd that any one has a problem with calling major out on this shit. Bobby got it all the time too. âOur idiot fans,â âAverage fan,â etc.

18+ games on some kind of TV this year. It must be the most ever.

Which is why I have fallen to the belief that Major would make a hell of an assistant or recruiter anywhere he goes. But at a D1 university, specifically one that has tasted success and wants to return, the man at the top needs to be at least part salesman. If Major feels that isnât in his level of expertise then perhaps thatâs our fault for overlooking whatâs needed to complete the package of a successful D1 head coach.

18+ games on some kind of TV this year. It must be the most ever.
Thank you for pointing this out.Let me be more specificâŚwe are virtually never on the only network that really matters in big time athletics ESPN(Much as many of us dislike the ESPN juggernaut and many of itâs idiot talking heads.
If you ask 1 00 D-1 level recruits where they watch college bball and itâs highlights iâd guess that 98(at least) would say espn.
Understand that iâm not trying to lay the fact that weâre almost never on espn solely at Majorâs feetâŚjust that until we become a winning program with an identity(INCLUDING a head coach with an identity) we will get very little exposure on the place where most of the kids we are trying to recruit are tuned in.This just becomes a vicious cycle.
If you want to make an argument against the coach, please make it ligitimate. As others have stated, there are enough problems with the state of Niner basketball right now but TV coverage is not even on the listâŚanywhereâŚthat means not even at the bottom.
No one would argue that ESPN isnât the flagship of NCAA hoops and we would all like to have more telivised games on THE network. However, winning and being relavent happen first. This is the most televised games weâve had an a long time and anyone that has been a fan of the program for any length would be foolish to say they were not happy with this seasonâs coverage. No one is or has complained about the talent level of recruiting under Major so this further dilutes whatever the arguement that was attempting to be made.
Iâm not trying to be offensive, but some are REALLY searching for things to be negative about. Donât need to did that deep. Plenty just beneath the surface. I just want to have something to get excited about again related to Niner basketball.

Are you an engineer or accountant?
This trait about major likely upsets those in marketing and sales most.

Correct- itâs about Lâs and Wâs.
Major does need more enthusiasm and a little more fire. That said, pulling out the mid-week presser as an example of why he needs to be fired is just flat out crazy.
