No one said injure you NLP. Just rough you up a bit as you like it. I’m in Vegas playing poker and then to LA. So if you want to fly out we could play one on one for some dough. As long as you are not 6’ 4" or taller, I think I’ll probably beat you even though I’m twenty years older.

It reads to me like you try to build yourself up as a world traveler that jet sets to Vegas and LA on a whim. I also find it funny how you like challenging people over passport stamps. This makes me laugh. My guess is that you are not married and you are in sales. You only travel when you need to do so for your company. Am I close on this?

I am married, so I am only playing poker, swimming in the pool, having a few beers, doing a bit of work and relaxing.
I like to educate people so if you want to play Hold’em in Vegas I recommend Planet Hollywood. It is too touristy for the pros, has a Charlotte bar/stripper atmosphere, and draws the middle-class from LA, who can play poker decently but not great, and don’t care much if they lose.

So I think I’ve got this pretty close now.
46 - 48 year old white male. Degrees in education from UNCC and U of Houston. Spent some time in Japan teaching English. Maybe even other places in Asia as well. This is a common practice as I also lived in Taiwan for close to a year and met some people that did this also. You may not teach anymore but you don’t work full time either. You may submit some writings from time to time to get enough money to survive. You are not wealthy. And you like to enjoy a little marijuana from time to time, but you don’t eat too much when munching. You are definitely on the West Coast or in Hawaii. You didn’t grow up in NC though. I’m thinking military brat. Thinking your true roots are from NJ or Mass.
This is a fun little game I like to play with personalities based on what people write so don’t take it personal. I think some of your posts are good and some not so good. You do like to belittle people though and use your education when it suits you. This is also typical of an education major.
Not sure about the outcasts and the board being lame comments. But whether you know “Alpha Duster” or not, doesn’t change the fact that she’s hot. It’s perfectly fine to know good looking people. Unless that person is your sister of course.

I was on here the day I guess she changed her profile picture on twitter or FB and you would have thought the world ended. Just funny is all. No I was not here during CUSA days. I said the board is lame because Charlotte has other sports that are never talked about unless they are doing very well. Track team dominates. Golf is always very good. Softball has won like 7 or 8 games straight. Tennis made it to semis in A-10. I would bet the majority of this board had no clue or would say yea they are good just popping off. Instead the board likes to, “clt does…X2”, “bitch about where a BL thread should go”, “talk about farting”, “This garbage I am currently writing in”, and “site being down” which I thought we all might need to contribute some dollars but instead it is about funyuns.
6 of the 10 are just lame stuff. The other 4 are Bobcats?, alaska shootout…which there is a thread about 2012-13 opponents, some kid we offered, and statues.

There just isn’t much worth talking about during the summer when you dont have a football season to look forward to.
Don’t complain about other Charlotte sports not being discussed. Everyone on this board can start a thread.
It is not the summer time. Other sports are going on. I can complain about whatever I want. People on this board claim to love Charlotte so much but truly only love the bigger sports. Dowless says, “However, the team and the program is very relevant to us true fans and supporters.” Just the Football and Basketball team? Maybe the Baseball and Soccer teams when they actually win? I am not going to make a thread as I can read it on my own. I don’t live on this board as others do. People would rather cry about the Observer for the Nth year or complain about Bobby getting moved to a Collegiate Forum. The “Other Sports” of GTG was good for a while…until the winning other team finished their season. No more winning springs teams…no more other sports.
Sorry, I could have phrased that differently. WHy complain about it, when you could be considered part of the problem? You don’t create threads on those sports, yet complain about it? Doesn’t make very much sense, in my opinion.
The other sports I read about like you. However, a lot of topics are very scattered on the internet and some people start a thread to help gather all of the information. For example, if you wait for the Charlotte 49ers sports site to post an article about a recruit then that recruit is already signed. For some of us, we like to follow recruiting of our school and other schools, which comes from many sources such as people from twitter that some of us don’t know or follow. These types of things are only done for the major sports. If you have a lead on a recruit from Kenya for the track & Field team then by all means start a thread because others may want to know. BTW, I never knew we had a Club Hockey team at UNCC until I started reading this forum.
Why only complain about other sports? Why not complain about academic accomplishments?
I understand what you are saying - but mens basketball and football are the primary drivers of college sports everywhere, not just here. Just because we don’t have a thread about the newest volleyball recruit doesn’t mean we don’t all support niner athletics. It isn’t like I request my 49er club donation only go to support basketball. I personally can’t stand the sport of baseball - I find it boring. With that said I want the Niners to win every game they are in. Also means though I probably don’t know much about what is going on with the team nor do I really care. Truly loving a school has nothing to do with if we have a thread about it.
The board has some issues - but not talking about other sports is not one of them.
This board is stupid because it doesn’t talk about the things that I care about!
