Langston Wertz has apparently decided to spread his dissing around a little bit, this time
taking on the Davidson Wildcats. In a Saturday article, Wertz wrote about Charlotte
Catholic senioir star Brendon McKillop. The article mentions that McKillop is being recruited by Va Tech, NC State and others. But in a glaring oversight, there is no mention that
Brendon is the son of Wildcats coach Bob McKillop and that Brendon will almost
certainly play for the Wildcats, probably after a year in prep school. If I was a Davidson
fan I would be furious.
Some readers no doubt were already aware of the father-son connection, but a
reporter can’t just assume that. Just another example of sloppy reporting.
