Where will these dorms be located? I assume it was a building that was already planned?
This scholarship is very much on par with the Moorehead at Chapel Hill. We are very fortunate that our daughter is at Charlotte on this scholarship, and we are amazed with the opportunities that she has through this program. The Levines are involved with the students several times per year, and the students are some of the best students coming out of high school and they are choose Charlotte for their next step. This past year over 2200 apply for the scholarship with students from many states. I think you will see this number continue to increase since this is just the 5 year of the program.
I know that Chasmo 101 has been involved with interviewing the students for the final stage for a few years and he can tell you the quality of students that this program is drawing.

Absolutely Woodniner… And excited your daughter is the first Legacy to become a Levine Scholar. What many may not realize are the number of students that come to Charlotte that applied for Levine and didn’t get it but still choose to attend. W
What they did today, increasing it to 20 annually and extending it to 2024 does so much for the university and our city. We need more like them.
Nice. The high rises’ makeover looks good too.
I am really liking the transformation of the area at/around the main entrance to campus.
Yep. It’s looking real nice.
Even the apartments they’re finishing up off-campus across 49 will make a huge difference once they’re completely finished up and the construction equipment is out of there.
Looks so much better than when I was there 2005-2009.
Are they leaving the RDH up? I thought it was getting bulldozed?
Being converted to another gym/recreational facility.

Imagine what it looked like when I was there 1987-1991. :-[
