This will be the biggest fight in UFC history. I think it has potential to be one of the best fights as well, though it will be hard to live up to the hype. The first one was good until Tito got poked in the eye.
If you live in the triad area, I will be getting the fight at my house.
If you live elsewhere you can watch it at any Hooters for free.
I have a gig and can’t watch (which pisses me off). For those interested, though…Buffalo Wild Wings up on Harris (near Picasso’s) will also be showing it.
This should be a good fight but I think some of these fights don’t live up to expectations. St. Pierre vs Hughes ended in the 2nd round. If I’m paying for a PPV I would rather see a good fight go the distance.
Any takers on who wins? I like watch Tito more as a fighter but he’s rather ****y and I wouldn’t mind seeing Liddell dropping him.

The Hughes v GSP fight did end much quicker than expected, but it was still a great fight and amazing to see Hughes get dominated. I had a hard time imagining Hughes losing. There were a lot of other great fight on that card so it was a decent PPV over all.
I have the same feelings about Liddell as I did about Hughes, it is just tough for me a imagine Liddell losing.
Tito won me over in TUF as a coach, I alway thought he was very c0cky, but I saw a different side to him when he coached TUF and he won me over. I would like to see Tito win because I think it sets of a lot more future fights and I’m sure Liddell vs Ortiz 3 would be amazing, but if Liddell beats him again no one will care to see a 3rd fight.
Tito has to get Liddell down on the mat to have a chance, he is the best at ground and pound, the only problem is I’ve never seen anyone get Liddell down on the mat and as we have seen over and over in Liddell’s fight NOBODY can stand up with him.
If I were betting, I would have to put my money on Liddell, but in my heart I will be rooting for Tito.
There have been a lot of great fights lately in UFC. Florian has been better than I ever thought he would be…though he did lose his last fight. And Diego Sanchez is ALWAYS entertaining…he is a bulldog much like Hughes. I don’t understand why he isn’t fighting for titles yet…or is he and I have just missed it?

He hasn’t yet, but he will get his shot this year. He is very young and hasn’t been pushing for a title shot just yet. He says whenever they want to give him a shot is fine with him, but he is not in a hurry. He gets better and better with each fight though.
How was the fight? I see Liddell won, was it a pretty good match? I was traveling and wasn’t able to catch any of it.
It was a pretty good fight. Liddell came out strong and was pummeling Ortiz in the first round and it looked like the fight might be stopped, but Tito survived and had a huge gash over his left eye. Liddell won the first round handily. Round 2 Tito comes out strong, gets a takedown, several good kicks and lands a couple good shots. Tito Wins round 2. The both come out strong in the 3rd with Tito tryng to strike with Liddell, big mistake, nobody strikes with Liddell for long. Liddell hit him with a couple good shots to the head, Tito stumbles backward, Liddell bounces and the ref stops the fight while Liddell is raining down blows on Tito. I did not agree that the fight should have been stopped at that time as Tito was blocking most of the shots with his arm, But Tito did not complain after fight about the stoppage and admitted Liddell was the better fighter and he gave it everything he could but couldn’t beat him.
Tito did give it a great effort and it was a miracle he made it to the 3rd round, but you could almost see in his eyes that he didn’t think he could beat Liddell, I really can’t image anyone who can.
Forrest Griffin lost in a first round TKO and was devestated, I felt bad for the guy. He walked into a upper cut, went down and got pounded senseless.
Jason Macdonald choked out Chris Leban. Macdonald is for real. He has now taken out 2 ultimate fighters.
Leban is the anti-Diego. Leban has been one of the most disappointing fighters I have followed. All of his hype…nothing but disappointing. I think I have seen 3 of his losses myself.
I actually got a chance to watch this PPV and I have to admit it was well worth the $40. The Tito/Liddell fight was pretty good. I like Tito over Liddell but I’m kind of glad Liddell won. I think Tito is ****y and neeeded a piece of humble pie. I wish the ref didn’t call the fight but I don’t think Tito would have been able to do anything, Liddell was raining down blows and wasn’t letting up.
I like the former heavywweight’s Arlosko (sp) fight. After the ref stopped the fight to explain a rule Arlosko (sp) clocked the guy he was fighting. What a punch.
I hate that Forrest lost, I enjoy watching him but crying like a baby and running out of the area was a bit much, walk out like a man.
Overall I enjoyed the PPV, I thought most of the fights would have been boring but all of them were quite entertaining, I wish they would start a bit earlier than 10:00 though.
