His current status is interim head coach. He may or may not want to accept the job.
If he comes here as Shockers head coach, it’s going to feel weird.

Congrats to Loren. He did a great job given a crappy situation. He’s obviously done enough to lose the interim tag, but does he feel like coaching again? I know he is beloved out there so they would certainly give him the job if he wanted it. I could also see him retiring ‘on top’ after a season like this, going back to his administrative position, and hiring his replacement.
