Lot of respect from Feinstein

Just heard an interview with John Feinstein on Sporting News Radio. The host asked him who he thought could get to the Final Four/win it all and he said “Charlotte” within the first couple teams he mentioned. Said we were playing really well right now and could certainly make the run needed.

Hope we all don’t get our hopes up too high. Seems like not so long ago that ECU game had many of us in a funk.Personally,i’d be happy if we win at least 1 ncaa game(tho i’m obviously hoping we go all the way) Hope that doesn’t sound like a losers attitude, maybe I just don’t want to jinx us…or get too excited and than,if we lose…crwal into a hole for about a week. I’m so psyched for selection sunday!!

Take it from this Old Schooler: relax, get a drink, chill and enjoy this ride, 57. This IS a special year.

I know what your saying 57, but I like where we are sitting going into March. Its funny how someone like Feinstein knows Charlotte. He lives in Maryland // dc area and still knows who we are. He has always done his homework, instead of throwing out names like Duke, Wake, etc… like Jarvis, Digger and Dickie V do. Feinstein has forgottem more knowledge about the game than those 3 put together. HE could name our line-up and bench and never claims to know it all. Its just another reason to know that this 49er team is special, someone who actually knows the game is talking the 49ers up. This team is focused and ready.

I'll be royally disappointed and disgusted if we don't reach anything shy of the Sweet 16 given our talent and potential seeding. I have a good feeling this is the year we get over that 2nd round hurdle and really make some noise. We're going to be that one team in the bracket where the teams that have to play us sigh from knowing they'll have their hands full. I'm not about to predict a Final Four run (I'll leave that for Over40 :P ) but I do think we'll survive through the first weekend.
