Would be nice to get Denis Clemente from Miami
Not exactly sure if this is the correct thread but here is a list of guys who have announced transferring as of 4/12.

Sean McCurdy from Arkansas leaving. Anyone read the Miracle of St Anthonyās? McCurdy was one of the key players, seemed to be a total dick in the book. Almost made you root against him.
Getting the Lutz kid from Purdue would have been a natural fit.
Stumbled upon this article dated March 12, 2007:
2007 big man Isaiah Rusher is qualified for next season. This is a bit surprising, as is the list of schools that Isaiah says have offered himā¦ā¦including LSU, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kentucky and Florida. I question whether any of these schools still have offers on the table for him at this point, but you never know. IF you believe these schools have still offered however, this is a lot of schools for a kid who many thought would be ineligible.
A Texan who was a Top 50 Overall recruit earlier this year. Whatās the deal?
He was also recruited by Chapel Hill. God, Iād love to steal one from those guys.
āBig-time athlete. Long, runs the court and blocks shots.ā
Iād be happy with just about anybody 6ā9 or bigger. Transfer, whatever. Save that last schollie for a BEEG MON!

there has to be a reason why he hasnāt been picked up yet. No ābig timeā athlete takes this long to sign to a program.

If you can figure this mystery out, by all means let me know. Or better yet, let the coaching staff know.
As recently as a couple weeks ago, he was in a tournament to showcase himself off for college recruitment. Since heās eligible now - he wonāt be going prep. So grades arenāt an issueā¦
I watched a couple videos of him on rivals. Usually those vids are awful, plain awful to watch since youāre essentially watching little kids. When I saw his vids, I could fully understand why all the top programs are after him - heās got Curtis Withersā attitude when he plays and heās got the build of a college player. And he can run. So his ability is not an issueā¦
So why the hell are we recruiting at jucos all over the state of Texas when we could be courting this guy?!?
Looks like both Coley and Rusher are on Gillispieās short list and you better add Legion to that list. Jai Lucas spent most of the weekend with Donovan.

If Lucas signs with Florida, then I can imagine Rusher being eager to sign to play alongside his best friend. But if Florida looks elsewhere for their remaining schollies, then Charlotte needs to go all in to try to get this guy.
The credibility of that post in that link takes a hit. The 1st name on the list, Charles Bronson, signed with Xavier 2 years ago. He had to repeat another year of juco and will be in uniform for Xavier next year. Thereās no way he was a target of Kentucky recently.
Just saw this on ESPN. Rising sophomre PG Bobby Maze has North Carolina connections having prepped at Patterson and he chose Oklahoma over Wake Forest.
ESPN.com: Capel says Sooners PG Maze is a goner
One scholarship is still available:
Uncommitted
Denzel Bowles 6-9 235, Virginia Beach, VA
Long, athletic, agile - defensive and rebounding threat. Seen as the best recruit in WSUās recruiting class (they were very reluctant to grant a release of his LOI). Scout.com said, āKeeping (signed forward) Denzel Bowles is paramount for Wichita Stateā, but Gregg Marshall was unable to convince him to stay. Charlotte was once included in a long list of interested schools: http://www.caainsider.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=866&Itemid=99

Possibilities?
Nemanja Calasan - 6-9/235 Serbian power foward from Midland College in Texas (Juco) - He was released from his LOI at Utah (5/4/07). It has been speculated that Calasan was released to allow one of the Utesā graduating players (Misha Radojevic) to return for another season
Zach House 7-0/220 Rock Falls, IL - A āstellarā student, he received a release from his LOI (5/4/07) due to a coaching change at Northern Illinois. Long, and mobile, he set school records for his high school in blocked shots and field goal percentage.
Isaiah Rusher 6-10/225 - Academically eligible, he wants to play with current teammate Jai Lucas and is awaiting Lucasā decision. Rusher will become available if Jai Lucas signs with a school that is not willing or able to sign Rusher as part of a package deal.
(Possibilities are my own - I have not seen anything that would indicate that Charlotte has ever approached those players.)
Dijuan Harris - Preferred Walk-on

Does anyone know of any new targets?
Hereās a name thatās new to me - 6-10 C/F, 250 lb. Monquel Pegues. Heās from Wilson, NC, played JUCO at Cape Fear CC in Wilmington (where he was named a JUCO AA after averaging 17.7 ppg and 7.1 rpg in 06-07), and is headed to New Mexico to finish out his collegiate career. Was he ever on our radar screen or do we only recruit JUCOs from Illinois, Kansas, and Texas?
More on 6-10 JUCO All-American C/F Monquel Pegues of Wilson, NC (played in-state at Cape Fear CC) in Wilmington per Van Coleman of CSTV and Hoopmasters.com:
New Mexico has gone under the radar with their spring work, and has brought in a class as good as any that Steve Alford got at Iowa. Darrington Hobson is a Top-100, Johnny Harris is a JUCO All-American, and Monquel Pegues is one of the top offensive big men in the JUCO ranks, going for more than 40 once this year and finishing with a couple 30-point games.Link: Vanswers
Still scratching my head over this one since I had never seen his name until this week and Pegues is a North Carolinian who stayed in-state to play JUCO ball in Wilmington. Hmmmā¦
i dont think we need another three star small forward. the more i read about pegues the more i think we should have gone after him.

55, Wright would be a long shot anyway since his Rivals list was primarily Big East schools before he signed with LSU. The Advocate piece also states he was recruited by the ACC and Big XII as well. Sounds like he was pretty tight with the assistant who recruited him but who has since taken a position at Louisiana Tech. This top 150 player will be a nice āgiftā to some program this late in the recruiting process.
Four-star 6-9 C/F Gus Gilchrist de-commits from Va Techā¦
thought that would be a good use for that last schollie, but heās going prep, it sounds like
Kem Nweke?
āKem Nweke, the 6-foot-10 center prospect from suburban Houston who made an official visit to USF last week, went home to Texas without a scholarship offer. āItā didnāt go well at all,ā his father Vince said Tuesday, pointing to the lack of a scholarship as the main source of frustration. Kem also had his flight home delayed, then cancelled, so he had to stay an extra night in a Tampa hotel on his own dime, his father said, then had his cell phone stolen in the airport Sunday. āEverything that could go wrong, went wrong,ā Vince said. Itās probably a good sign for Bulls fans that Heath isnāt rushing anything, even with three scholarships open and the spring signing period ending next week.ā
link May 9, 2007
More on the āSaga of Sean Carterā:
Another name mentioned as a possibility for USF is Sean Carter, a 6-foot-9 forward from Fayetteville, N.C., and while Carter is considering the Bulls, his coach at Laurinburg Prep, Marc Hsu, told me Wednesday night that USFās āinterest has dwindled from when they initially saw Sean and liked him.ā Carter took an unofficial visit to West Virginia on Tuesday and the Mountaineers are his current leader, but heās also considering Virginia Tech, DePaul and St. Johnās, according to Hsu. V-Tech and DePaul have offered scholarships and are trying to line up visits ā¦
link May 9, 2007
Kummer recruits the Houston area. The longer Carter takes, the better chance we have. Hopefully, he sees the light and stops listening to his Laurinburg coach.
Tilford is not coming. That story was way off base.
