Luke Maye - 2015 PF offer - verbal to UNC-CH

good luck to him. i still do not understand kids making decisions like this. why not go to a school that wants you the most. i dont necessarily mean us. he should have gone to davidson. great school, play in the a10 and probably start as a freshman.

clt says good luck to him, but seriously? You are jumping aboard the titanic, and paying for first class seats?

Davidson would be a much better choice.

I’ll believe that when I see it.

This is ridiculous. But I did tell you guys 9 months ago that he said he wanted to play in the ACC.

can’t imagine they’d do that…to a maye! but then there are a lot of things i never imagined they’d do!

That’s why I’m glad he didn’t commit there.

The only positive about this was hanging out with my buddy from Davidson tonight. He was bummed.

Roy: Because you’ll get a ton of dad gum ass.

Recruit: I’ll sit the bench.

That how it goes?[/quote]
About as good a reason as I could think of

clt says mbb should get that at any school. An actual education is more important.

Could we just lock this thread now? I’m pretty weary of it. :blank:

I agree with 49er1

Intangibles before I go.

Luke Maye was always…always going to go the Chapel Hill. His Grandfather went to Chapel Hill and his Dad went to Chapel Hill as the highest ranked QB out of Charlotte in years. His dad was a star at Football Baseball and Basketball. I sat with Ray Perkins watching Luke’s father play basketball in High school. Coach Perkins kept telling me he was going to make a Heisman winner out of him if he could have stolen him away from then Coach Crum If I remember. Too bad he went to Chapel Hill me thinks.

James Worthy and Mitch Kupchak who were 6”9” Carolina forwards who had decent careers playing at that size. Luke’s 18 and 6”8” and still growing’s. Luke’s a 4.0 student with pedigree, intelligent that is lacking in a lot of athletics and especially basketball.

What happens if they get the death penalty for football and basketball?

kids would be allowed to transfer w/o loosing eligibility is my guess.
