Lutz Live Tonight?

my 2 cents of tonights Lutz Live

– were some of you really that lonely that you needed to hear Coach tell you on air (& by name) what great fans you are?

– Leemire Goldwire is a VERY UNDERRATED student-athlete on this team.

ETA: someday, somebody associated with the production of Lutz Live needs to figure out the production issues with this broadcast. The 1st 15-20 seconds of Bobby’s comments at start, it sounds that his mic was not on? Someone ā€œtriesā€ to call and they have to resort to ā€œmorse codeā€? I appreciate Lutz trying to have fun with it, but someday I really hope the appropriate person makes this show sound like it’s not a rookie production. I can’t quote specifics, but I find it kinda embarrassing that they seem to have some kind of broadcast snafu whenever I listen. If it’s WFNA, Ham’s, SSG or the athletic dept’s fault, they make Coach & Matt sound like worse they really are.

I don’t think the people named actually wrote that question.

Guess your green tinted glasses keep you from being objective or seeing that Bobby isn't the 2nd Coming you make him out to be.

Actually his glasses are fairy blue tinted. He’s a tarheel fan. Gotta stay loyal to that school he never went to!

Ok, maybe his glasses are some shade of aqua green or something, I’m sure he does care about the 9ers too, but I don’t understand the aggression. I’m sure George Bush is a good guy- a slow witted and unintelligent one, but still a good guy. When I wrip on him, it is only because he is, in my opinion, a bad president. Bobby certainly isn’t as bad a coach as George is a president, but still, when anyone has a bad word about Bobby, it is soley because he is our coach, is only about his coaching, and is not supposed to be taken personally.
I don’t think you’ll hear anyone say Bobby isn’t a great guy. I used to think he could coach, but now I think he just had enough talent to cover up the fact that he couldn’t. Since he is an alumnus, and since he is passionate, and since he is such a good guy, I really, really want to like him but he’s not making that easy.
Bingo! Very good assesment of the state of 49er basketball. What has hurt us the most is Lutz can’t tell high school seniors they will get a shot to play against Cinci, Loserville, memphis or marquete and thats really hurting us right now.

Bust, certain people here just take criticism of Lutz way too personal, which is fine. But they need to understand that not everyone shares their love affair with Bobby.

There will forever be a handful of people who will worship Lutz no matter how poorly we’re doing on the court. As I said before, I really like Bobby. I’d love to play golf with him, have him over for dinner, enjoy a night of poker with the guy, etc. I think he’s a super person who cares a lot about this program. But unlike some of the people here, I’m able to separate those feelings from the ones I have about him as a coach of a program I have been supporting for 16 years.

I’ve been a fan long enough to realize we are in bad shape right now and no sure-thing improvement in sight. You can talk up these new guys coming in next season all you want but they have yet to prove anything in a Niner jersey. High school/JUCO stats mean nothing to me. I just want this program to get back on track so I can regain the interest, passion and enthusiam I had for it in years past. And it’s my OPINION that Lutz’s best years are likely behind him here. I’m ready for change.

And lastly, to suggest that I am wasting my time because I have no influence, is pretty inaccurate. As a season ticket holder for over a decade and contributer to the Athletic Foundation, I most certainly have an influence. When hoards of alumni contine to become apathetic and opt to put away their check books, then you’ll see the influence we have.

I think I noticed a summary in here of LL. Thanks Cmack. It got lost in the pointless bantering of JCL and J4L… Still not sure why someone called it the ā€œbest LLā€. Anyone care to explain that?

Lutz probably bought a round of beers.

To what question is this referring? Just curious.
To what question is this referring? Just curious.
There was a question asked from the crowd that was, something to the effect of, What do you think of your fans (4-5 names were specified) who go to such great lengths to support your program?

Bobby said he was very appreciative of their support.

I don’t know or care where it came from & I’m sure those folks are vocal supporters of the team (which is a good thing). I know none of them, but the question sounded like a very self serving comment to try and get their names on the air.

I’m sure my comments will raise the dander of some folks (I’m willing to guess that each of those folks are regulars on this board), but thats tough.

A vocal, somewhat obnoxious student section adds to the atmosphere of college sports. However, this team & its supporters include more than just the students.

Hopefully, all of you students will CONTINUE your support once you are no longer enrolled.

That’s the key! Will y’all continue to pay out of your pocket for season tix? I hope you guys do! We need to grow this alum fan base.

J4L Is a pretty devote 49ers fan, in fact he will go out of his way to help any 49er fan, or anybody that needs help getting into a game or getting a hold of 49er stuff. Also, he shows his Niner support, and never have I ever seen this guy wearing a Tarheel shirt.

Raise dander!? LOL:huh:
