Mac Everett showing why he is THE man, again!

For some reason, I’m having trouble with the link, but check out Tom Sorenson’s article in today’s Disturber!

Wow, that sounds like the right room of people to mention this to. If those people are applauding the notion of Charlotte 49er Football, good things are going to happen.

Very nice!!

Everett talked about the sense of community the Wachovia event creates. He also gave Charlotte 49ers football a nice plug, a plug that was greeted with some of the afternoon's loudest applause. I sense that some of the folks clapping have money. I also sense that UNCC football operators are standing by.

Frequently find Sorenson to annoying, but do like this line
The real estate attorney contends a minor-league ballpark will impede Charlotte’s major-league prospects, prospects that are more imaginary than a gas pump without a car next to it.
As far as Mac Everett…lets just say that Tom’s comments reinforce why my signature says what it says.

Proud of the man in my avatar. Mac is the man.

Charlotte football is Mac’s prodigy child. I believe that he will do everything he can to see it succeed. I would not be suprised if that 7 figure donation Judy talks about in her interview was from him.

Good Read 919R. Thanks for posting it.

Also, if you could add a larger pic. of your avatar in the Pole Vault Thread…thanks in advance.

UNCC needs Mac.

Yeah, the name change comission could use him…

It’s no worse than Papa John’s Stadium at Louisville.

Most stadium names (other than Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati) are pretty dumb names these days IMO

Progressive Field - Cleveland Indians
Network Associates Coliseum - Oakland

as long as the numbers add up to $45 million, I’m not too particular. Of course, there are always exceptions…Trojan Stadium (as in "Today at the condom, the Niners take on Richmond…)…I’m not sure how that would be perceived by the general public.

Coastal Carolina gets alot of money from Hooters. I wonder if they play at Hooters Stadium.

We need a Mac Everett statue beside the Norm statue.

they play in a stadium named after the man who started hooters (well his family at least)
