I’ll miss him. I thought he was awesome. Never understood nor found any credence in complaints about him.
some of the gems I remember from John and won’t miss hearing from him
“When your arm gets hit, the ball is not going to go where you want it to.”
“Hey, the offensive linemen are the biggest guys on the field, they're bigger than everybody else, and that's what makes them the biggest guys on the field.”
“To get more yards, it’s best to move the ball from the line of scrimmage down the field.”
“some yards is better than none.”
“Whenever you talk about a Mike Shanahan offense, you’re always going to be talking about his offense.”

Like I said I have issues with most every NFL broadcaster – every second does NOT have to be filled with **** flowing out of their mouths.
The absolute worst are these interviews of coaches going into halftime…
WHAT NORMALLY HAPPENS
network talking head : “Coach, you offense struggled moving the ball in the first half. What are you going to tell your team?”
coach: “Well, we’re are going to have to move the ball better.”
network talking head: “Thanks alot for the insight and good luck in the 2nd half”
WHAT SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN
network talking head : “Coach, you offense struggled moving the ball in the first half. What are you going to tell your team?”
coach: "Well, you are f’in idiot if you think I’m going to tell you how we are going the change our gameplan.’
