Wonder how big the squad will be?
4 people
4 reals? Seems really small
I hope it’s more than 4. Needs to be at least double digits
I would hope no less than 18-22 people… certainly 3 isnt something to get excited about…

They have not even had auditions yet and have 40+ members of their Facebook Group FWIW. I am sure there will be an adequate amount of drummers.

I can’t imagine it’d be any less than 20 or so.

We’re still talking about just the drumline, right? It’s been over a decade since I was in marching band, but I’m not sure how you get in the 20’s with just a drumline. 4-6 on quads, maybe 4 on snare, 2 cymbals, 2-3 bass drums. I get more around 15 max. Band geeks/former band geeks? Anyone?

Edit: Nevermind. Looking at some pictures I think you might could probably double that number of snares, cymbals, and bass drums. At least 20 is probably right.

We need a minimum of 100 snare drums alone, any less and I’ll be severely disappointed!

clt asks about the cowbell. Will we have cowbell?

I understand they want some of our baseball fans to play the cowbell.

Looks like it’ll be a 25-member drum line.

The last time I checked we don’t have a lot of songs that feature the cowbell…

"The buildup to that moment has lasted seven years, beginning in 2006 when a grass-roots organization called the Charlotte Football Initiative led a charge to begin a varsity football program."
