FYI my colleague’s nephew is the marching band director for Mooresville High band. He was approached and has accepted the job of Drum Line/Marching Band director for UNC Charlotte. His name is Renae White… He is an UNC Charlotte alumni.

I know that guy in the pic too! He is a percussion student at the university who also plays guitar, piano, and keyboard. I can vouch for him–he is a very talented musician.

[font=arial]Auditions for the 49er Drumline will be held on Sunday, July 28, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Please plan on being at the audition the entire time.[/font]
[font=arial]All students interested in playing in the 49er Drumline are required to audition. Additionally, if you are an experienced drummer who will need to miss any of the summer practices, you can audition to be excused from those dates.[/font]
[font=arial]Practices[/font]
[font=arial]The dates of the summer practices are as follows. Housing will be provided for students from out-of-town for the weeklong camp and for the August 10 camp.[/font][font=arial][font=inherit]July 29 - August 2 (all-day camps)[/font][/font][font=inherit]August 10 (all-day camp)[/font][font=inherit]August 17 (all-day camp)[/font][font=arial]From August 21 through November 8, the 49er Drumline will practice Wednesday and Friday nights from 6:00 to 9:00. There will be no practices after the final football game on November 9.[/font]

[font=arial]Performances[/font]
[font=arial]The 49er Drumline will perform at all six home football games. Students should expect to be on-campus from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on gamedays to participate in pre-game, in-game, and post-game celebrations.[/font]
