Marshall postgame

We hired Clyde Drexler.

Checked espn on my phone a few times during first half and then saw tied at half and then forgot about game until after it was over and saw we lost. The loss didn’t bother me at all. Just how it is. A win would have actually surprised me more.

Wasn’t happy with the first half, but it was OK

We sucked in the 2nd half. Almost ready to quit watching this team.

I thought we won yesterday. You guys should be jubilant. I’m sure Judy is.

:’(

All alone in 1st place in the conference!!

I can’t imagine losing like this and not having football. I know we lose in football too but the day is an event that I still enjoy. Basketball well…losing just sucks. Something needs to change and quick.

The solution is to tailgate basketball games, obviously. :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn! Why the hell didn’t I think of that. ;D On a serious note, we are not very good. I hope thing improve soon but we are at best a .500 team and I am not sure we are that good.

We used to have post game threads of 7 or 8 pages. Now our post game threads have 7 or 8 posts.

On the positive side, we have learned how to manage our expectations.

To be honest, I don’t even keep up with the schedule these days and just expect to see losses. Hopefully one day I’ll get back to being stoked before a game and actually getting pissed off as hell at a loss.

We already have a poster who is going by “Expectation Manager” so that slot is filled.

Don’t get the connection but whatever I guess. It took me about 7 years to stop getting so pissed off after losses now this site and the folks on it are pretty much my only connection. I used to drive down for a couple bball games/year but not so much anymore. I mean, why? A loss is pretty much guaranteed. Hate to be negative Nancy, etc but life is too short to be pissed off all the time. Maybe it would be different if I lived closer.

Speaking as one of those that live closer…It’s not.

i admit it has been disappointing but I will never stop going to the games. If anybody ask me I say I’m a 49er fan. I don’t say i’m a fan only when they are winning.

Everyone here is a fan. Means different things to different people. I hope you have fun at the rest of this seasons games.

I wouldn’t be having fun so I won’t be there. All fans, including you, deserve better. Myself being driven away by Judy Rose moves the doomsday clock for her tenure closer to midnight. Godspeed.

What do you mean by “when they are winning”? You talking 15 years ago?

Just taking the time to post here makes you one of the better fans. I will guarantee you this, We are the most passionate and engaged message board for a team that has done so little and right now cannot even figure out how to be better than even HaLF of the 351 other DI teams. We are around the 35th percentile. I don’t think some people actually realize how bad that is.

This is where I was after 10 disappointing seasons…but disappointing seasons 11-15 have taken me to a whole other level.

Not answering for cibik, and I’m sure everyone will answer this different, but to me there is still a huge difference between having hope that you can win, and having no hope. Yeah, 15 years ago we were pretty good; but there have been some seasons in between that we had some high moments where I felt like we could go far, and where we upset some teams. That should not be our standard, by any means, but at least I had hope. Now, the past 3 or so seasons have been brutal. No hope.

I would drive to Charlotte for as many games as possible if I thought we had a chance, but currently I fully expect us to lose. All time low.

2009-2010 and 2012-2013 were great years compared to most of our other years.
