Wow… the Falcons could use that guy…
oh yeah…

that is what happens when you aren’t good enough to play defense cleanly, you have to resort to hurting other players.

Defense isn’t their problem… 65 pts? Seriously? How did we drop 3 to these guys?

Pushing the Boston Bandwagon…
lol
Nah, I’m j/k, but it does piss me off this year to see all the bandwagoners on the Celtics tail when they’ve been my 2nd fav in the east (next to Bobcats) since Pierce has been there. Pierce = my fav player with Matt Carroll a close 2nd, but I can’t really get hyped up and pull for the Celts this year because there so many people on the bandwagon right now.
They’re still my fav in the playoffs, because of Pierce and Allen. Like KG, but never been a big fan. And of course, you have to love Big Baby.
Pushing the Boston Bandwagon.....
Well, yes and no kind of… I was a huge Hornets fan, and when they left, I was disgusted with the NBA. I followed the Celtics in a ho-hum kind of way, I’d watch if there was nothing else on and the C’s were playing, check the scores online, but wouldn’t really schedule things around even big games… more because I was a Red Sox fan since childhood so I figured if I was going to root for anybody, it would be the Boston team. So yes, I was a Celtic supporter, but I did kind of jump on a bandwagon by following the team more avidly this year than in years past. I’ll admit to that.
I was a big fan of the Cs until Reggie Lewis died and Rick Pitino destroyed the team. The run with Pierce/Walker was nice, but never really liked the team. When KG came, whoa. Whoa. So yeah I’m returned at a convenient time but it’s impossible not to when you bring about two of the classiest players in the league (KG, Jesus Shuttlesworth).
As for the foul, it pissed me off. Maybe in some universe Marvin Williams believes he was trying to just wrap him up, but he’s 6’9, athletic as hell, and was in position to make a play on the ball. It was a dick move and it would have been a dick move no matter where he went to school.

Walker played decent in Boston, but I couldn’t never stand that fata$$. Pierce has been my favorite since he entered, and he will remain my favorite (unless the Bobcats get Brook Lopez, which will make it real close then). You don’t know how much I would give for Pierce to play on the Bobcats, but it wouldn’t help him now especially since we got J Rich.
I was glad to see the Celtics to finally get some people to help Paul out since he was underappreciated all the time around the league. He still gets looked down on, and I can argue he’s the best of the trio. I have loved Allen (Jesus Shuttlesworth) for a while (except when him and the Karl’s bucks took down Mash & the Hornets in the playoffs).
I like the team, but something inside was quitely pulling for the Hawks. Something inside me was really hoping to watch the bandwagon unload. Oh well, the only teams I don’t hate in the playoffs now is the Magic & Celtics. Every other team can crash and burn for all I care.
Oh yea, and while I love to watch the Hornets play (CP3, West, & Chandler), I could care less about them & George Shinn. Crash & Burn, Crash & Burn!
My question is… does this get a post about it if the guy didn’t attend a certain school up the road, that will remain nameless?

Probably not…question answered.
definitely not, nobody cares about the hawks
Society as a whole is so damn soft nowadays.
Mid 90s no one is even talking about that foul.
The pussification of America is upon us.
He’s “coached” to make that hard foul. Lay that one on the coach, not Williams.

I don’t know, that was a pure headlock, although hardly kermit washington type stuff. I’m still wondering what the big deal was about the Brendan Haywood foul. He barely pushed King James and he is a much larger player. Could Bill Laimbeer even play these days?

Well the photos make it look much worse. In real speed it is def a hard foul, but not as intentionally flagrant as the photos suggest.
The Detroit Pistons of the 80s would have been banned from sports. Soon the NFL is going to be 2 hand touch, since it already is for the QBs. Hockey already softened its rules, and soon baseball you won’t be allowed to throw inside and players can wear knight’s armor at the plate.

My beef is he didn’t go for the block. Josh Smith would have. Leon Powe would have. KG would have. Marvin Williams went #2 for a reason but he plays like he’s wearing a diaper. That play showed it.
Ballin: I -liked- that Hawks team a lot. How nasty would they have been with Williams or CP3 at the point? It’s not Bowie over Jordan but it’s up there in draft f-ups.
