It might help if we would beat them when we have the few chances we get. We are 0-2 in our last games vs the acc. After the ones we have this year we’ll probably be 0-6. THAT, my fellow NINERS, will NOT get respect from acc fans or anybody.
49er1, my heart tells me we can go 2-2 – even 3-1! – versus the ACC this season, while my head leans toward an 0-fer just because of youth and inexperience with the 07-08 squad. Yes, we do need to win in order to get respect. Of course, that’s a double-edged sword that usually results in “if you beat us, we won’t play you anymore” from the ACC! Of course, it doesn’t help that in order to play the ACC at “home”, we have to do it 10 miles from campus in an NBA arena (though I do like the proximity to my office in uptown)!

I like our chances to do well. We really need to beat some of these guys and this is a year full of chances. If went 3-1 with a young team like we have had, that would be incredible! I am planning on making a trip to Clemson myself in January.

I doubt I’m the first person to say this, but everyone on here in the Charlotte general area should take a trip down to Clemson as a group.
