Saw this on the news this morning. From what I heard it was the shock wave from the meteor exploding in the atmosphere that caused the damage.
Yeah, and apparently it came well after the initial impact. So people were looking out their windows when glass was exploding!

Yeah, watch some of those videos I linked above. People were standing around for a good minute looking at the contrails when the shockwave suddenly hits BOOM!
