Heard on tonight’s Super Bowl telecast that Michele Tofoya is retiring. Congrats to her. She is former broadcaster for our own Charlotte 49ers.

RIP Mickey Connely. Don’t recall her doing our broadcasts, but do recall her doing a show with that guy who looked like Eddie Munster. Also, recall her coaching half our team in an intersquad game at the Mine Shaft. Other half was “coached” by some morning radio team from her station.

She did commentary on our games for a year or 2 on 610…early to mid 90s.
