Probably would have postponed it if we had lost.
I guess all those indoor track championships sealed the deal. Now Mike can get back to living his best life checking out the trendiest restaurants in Charlotte, going to concerts, and weekending at his vacation home in Blowing Rock.

I am kidding…I think…
Judy used to tout Women’s soccer attendance I believe as a way to talk about how the Athletic Dept as a whole was successful…now we have the Mike Hill version…look at all of our Track & Field titles!!!
Timing sure is suspicious. Almost like some dark money came into play the very moment there was momentum on social media and people starting to call for a Hill to be fired.
Just another coincidence of course.
Wild timing here lol
"DARK MONEY’
Mike Hill is mediocre at best… Unfortunately mediocre isn’t going to get us to the next level. We all are wasting our time and energy caring!

Yep idiot….
clt heard that aoc and lauren boebert were spotted in the AD SUITE last night
And how 'bout them Jewish rockets!
Hill didn’t hire any of the track guys so no credit there
NC. I do respect your dedication to the cause.
Man has commitment!
Is it true we could have hired Barry Odom?
If he actually hired Poggi over Odom that would be baffling.
I wonder if that’s accurate.
Mike Hill can’t adequately fundraise so he hired a guy that supposedly would help fund NIL and take a below market rate salary.
Hats off to Mike for constantly talking up all the conference championships we’ve won and how amazing we are doing. The chancellor probably doesn’t even follow sports and believes him.
FWIW Gaber can be seen regularly at games, sitting with the people not always in the box.
For the record, I do think Mike can get it done. Ron Sanchez was absolutely a good hire. We were all excited about it. Covid crushed his momentum, the literal rules of the game changed making it harder to play pack line, and nobody could have seen him just quitting. Fearne has far exceeded expectations, though I’m sure he is not the name anybody here had listed as 1A when the job became available. This year will tell us a lot.
Football has a similar song. Without Covid, I think Healy would have been more successful. If he’s just decent in 2020, he likely gets another job, and our progression line is upward for the first time… ever. While I am absolutely not in love with the biff hire, it’s clear that move was to get us some economic stability.
We are married to mike for the foreseeable future. I do think he wants to do well. I think this place has a lot of institutional hurdles, and I do believe that mike wants to fight them.
UNC Charlotte values athletics in a totally different way than the people of this internet community do. At some point, it’s time for us to accept that. I’ll accept the flogging, but I am far happier with Mike than most. He is doing the job that is asked of him, but I also genuinely believe he is working toward what we all want. The problem is, I’m not sure the people that he is accountable to care about success in hoops and football.
Fair points. The Biff hire makes more sense considering the AAC move coinsiding with the hire. We had to upgrade talent fast.
I don’t have a lot of issues with Mike other then the Biff hire. Healy was a gamble that ultimately didn’t work out. Why he would follow that up with another gamble hire I can’t understand. If Biff ultimately produces winning seasons and bowl games I will be thrilled but I don’t see it. I supported the hiring of Sanchez so I don’t blame Hill for that one not working out.
