Mike Hill’s Performance Review

Good for them

Let’s talk about the niners.

I interpret that more as “I’m glad to be back with the champagne and caviar program at Michigan”.

Things are hard outside the elite programs.

Sounds like he needs to be in that cushy environment rather than grinding it out in the G5.

In other words, he didn’t have what it takes to succeed as a head coach in the G5.

I’m sure he has a lot to offer where the pressure is much lower and where he doesn’t have to be the head guy.

Pretty sure Ron Sanchez made some similar remarks about UVA. How’s that going?

You do realize that both Midwives and Doctors can deliver babies?

Which one you want around when shit goes bad???

My point is, we need a program builder much more than a coach. Biff is 65, has built his wealth, and does not need to cower down to a culture that continues to hold us back. Biff could have been a strong voice for our university and push back on the politics that severely limit our growth.

Sanchez sucked from day 1 and cowered down to keep his job. It worked great for him because he was allowed to suck for years and even secure a contract extension. Sanchez was no threat to us building a program at Charlotte, or bring in needed resources thus the extension.

We just continue to maintain the status quo. How is that working for us?

What did biff do from day 1?

Better yet, what should he have done from day 1 to make you happy?

Michigan hired him back as Associate Head Coach after being there before. They would not have brought him back if he was not an assett. They did not bring him back based on his good looks.

Well the thing that would have made me happy is if he had won more football games than he lost.

We have sucked since the Inception of our football program.

We had just fired our previous football coach because he was not successful, as opposed to being recruited away based on his success here.

We were moving up for the first year into the American Athletic conference, a much stronger conference.

We were told it was going to take a couple years for him to settle in and gain some critical experience.

And you expect more wins in 1.5 years?

Last year we had the 2nd most win totals in our history against the toughest schedule in our history.

I care about the niners more than biff poggi.

I bet Biff will not have an on-field coaching job at Michigan. Biff was so far out of his league in trying to run a program. Schools do not have fights on the sidelines during the game like we did with Biff.

The thing that is not mentioned enough; I appeared to me Biff didn’t want the job anymore. I was listening to his post game interview on the way home after the South Florida loss, sounded like he wanted to be let go.

Yep, he had “checked out” weeks before being let go. All one had to do was listen to his 2nd season Thursday afternoon check-ins on ESPN 730 to realize it was no longer important to him. Probably no one happier than Bobby Rosinki when Biff was bounced.

Yeah, it happens, Teammates getting in other players faces because they did something wrong, etc…

USF, Miami, Houston, Washington, etc… not saying it’s right, some coaches like it because it’s the players are holding each other accountable

The guy that spent a month of practice time in Italy did not want to be here. It’s pretty cut and dry. If Albin did that we’d all be furious.

That’s an indicitment on biff being petty and immature. Our AD is subpar, but firing biff was a good decision

I am merely saying Biff was brought in to be a program Builder, not get an average of 10 wins per season in only one and a half years. Michigan does not have him there to be their head football coach but rather to build a culture for future success. We definitely need this more in Charlotte then they do in Michigan.

Except he doesn’t know how to build a program
