Mike Hill’s Performance Review

I think our nil is better than many in g5, and definitely enough to win. Of course, it still needs to continue to improve

App only has 19 seniors and I believe only four are offensive starters. They have yet to be hit as hard with the transfers out as others and have hit on the few transfers they have brought in over especially at QB. That is where the success has started they have pretty much had above average to excellent QB play, along with the ability to find recruits that fit the system.

They have also been playing football for close to 100 years and at a high level of success for most of that time (one of the highest winning percentages across all of college football). That counts for something that you have a structure in place that is pretty stable.

Maybe they fall off, who knows but I wouldn’t be placing bets that they are going too drop off a cliff or are done for.

Sadly, age/academic class no longer matters. Every year is a new adventure now. Not just for G5’s, for everyone. Everyone other than the top payers are going to go into every season not knowing the quality of the product they’re going to put on the field.

The teams that can afford the million dollar proven QBs and the offensive lines that costs $2 million are going to be who rules this era…and surprise, it’s the same teams that ruled the old era.

Average QB in the SEC makes $1.5M. Kids are making more than pros at some schools. That just does not sound like a successful model

Some success does not mean missing out on other success and having been held back from that. The University has grown incredibly. Could be more.

Agree. I share the frustration also. I just choose to also celebrate where we are and the hard work that got us here. This doesn’t happen by accident.

In many ways, we have been successful in spite of ourselves. Not necessarily a bad thing, it just means we have a lot of upside if we seize the opportunity.

Fundraiser idea, Mike Hill puts out his top sports bets every week. Fans bet the opposite and donate to the 49er Club.

I couldn’t believe they flashed up former Associate Head Coach Michigan on the screen next to him on the Big10 network! They have to know better that it wasn’t a coaching position.

Those aren’t the DDs we want to see on the sideline Biff.

I still can’t get over them news dumping the Mike Hill extension at 1pm on NFL Sunday. We all got spat in the face by the BOT and Chancellor Gaber. How are you ashamed to let the fanbase know about it yet still follow through anyway. Disgusting

Charlotte is a banking town, and banks are sitting on massive capital after 4 years of high interest rates. The problem with Hill is that banks invest their big money in winners and producers. The banks look at your profits and losses, your credit ratings, your growth probability…They rightly want to profit off of you.

The banks want their big money names on winners. The banks want to be associated with big money producers. For Mike Hill, his record is worse than Poggi, Healy and Sanchez, because his record is the combination of Poggi, Healy and Sanchez. That’s probably hard to comprehend for a guy who has no corporate experience.

Had Glaber brought in an AD who has a winning track record, there would be a much better chance for big time banking money. Instead, Hill’s record is a matter of fact. That record shows lots of hiring, firing and bleeding $millions to pay off fired coaches that were under contract. And for what? What has been produced by Hill that a big time bank would want their name plastered and in plain site on national media in association with Charlotte football or Charlotte basketball? I don’t mean the trickle donations and sponsorships, I mean program defining corporate money.

I guess BAC turns its head when it comes to sponsoring the Panthers??

Yeah, Charlotte 49er losers are on par with Carolina Panthers? The Panthers are a success story is so many ways. The current regime is still far and away more marketable than anything Football or Basketball that Mike Hill has shown. The Panthers have had many great seasons.

Where are Mike Hill’s great seasons. That dog don’t hunt.

Gold Standard.

Fire Mike Hill. This is the only way we can move forward. Worst athletics department in the conference.
The only consistency is the consistent bad decisions made from the 3rd floor at Halton.

What is the basis of he is the worse AD in the conference? I may be wrong, but i think we won more conference championships last year than any other school so even if was not football and basketball this would be considered successful to most people evaluating his job.

It’s easier to just blame him for his coach quitting late in the spring and then hiring a fully qualified coach at the last minute when no others were available - then said coach exceeded expectations and got the gig fulltime but then 3 of his starters left for the portal so now this coach is playing with a hand and a leg behind his back. This is all Jud… um… Tepper… uhhh… Mikes fault.
