Miserable Game Experience around Downtown
Yes, P3 as called by locals is open every day at 11am. Named best wide screen in uptown and had niner game on.:49ers:
I should have done my homework better … TheReal49er should have known better!!! I am going to get him for this one …
I have to call bullsh-t on all this blackout talk. How in the hell could a road game in Amherst be blacked out here? I don’t have any special subscription to have MASN & MASN2 on Dish. Same deal at my dad’s house with DirectTV. Sounds to me like these places just have no clue. I’ll bet they thought you were the stupid one for requesting such an ā€˜obscure’ game (ā€œYou want to watch UNC-who? Uhh, sorry, we can’t get that here. Anyways, Maryland-Carolina is on, what could be better?ā€).

MASN is Channel 432 on Dish, and I believe it’s 626 on DirecTV. CSTV is Channel 152. Next time somebody tries to feed you that ****, you ought to demand that they just shut up and find the friggin’ game. Hell, you can even use the remote and the menus to do a text search on the schedule.

Oh by the way Homie, I guess you didn’t know about Champions, which is right on The Square in Independence Center (Marriott)? Not that I think they had the game tuned in, either. And I don’t remember the uptown Picasso’s being anything like the others, as far as being a place for sports viewing. Are they even open on weekends?
I agree. It seems like most of the people working in the sport bars don’t know what channels they have or know how to find them.

I now just call and give them all the info (channel, channels name, game time, and teams playing) to make it easy for them to where it would be impossible to comeback saying that they don’t know or are not sure. If I’m already there and they do this, then I just ask for the remote and find out myself.

You’re way off on that one…Me and another guy walked over to the AV panel-rack behind the bar at Fox and Hound and he showed us the DirecTV guide on the tv screen, when he clicked on the Niner game, it gave a message saying the ā€œgame was unavailable in this areaā€

its just Niner luck

Precisely my point ... how in the (fill in expletive here) MASN is a better fit for keeping our fan base fed and enthused is beyond me.

No offense, but I don’t care how some guy in Maryland feels about getting our games - in fact, he’s not watching MASN …

screw that, I am very happy for MASN. Alot of our games have been on that channel, and I can watch them all at home.

I think we’re only getting 2 games on there this season, aren’t we? This one and one more…

Three. Hofstra was on there too… unfortunately.

Wow, just looking at the schedule, we have ALOT of conference away games left that have no TV at all. Our tv package really does need an upgrade. @ Rhode Island to end the year is not on the tube? Jeeze.

MASN is the devil, the touch of death.

Did Piccasso’s University get the game on? I left and went to Ham’s.

I guess the game must have been blacked out in Massachusetts. . . Only thing I can figure is maybe some of these places are Red Sox friendly, and their programming is tailored to suit that.

No Action 64 where you live?

Yeah, they got it about three minutes into the game. The owner was on the phone with DirecTV, giving it to them.

I didn't even know there was a Picasso's downtown ... Real49er suggested Jillian's ... I would think he would know about the new Pic's!
One would think. The owner of Pics is a huge supporter of the program.

I’m glad we have had some games on MASN - without them, we would have almost zero TV coverage. The A10 TV package is horrid. Even so, the announcers are not great and the presentation of the game looks cheap, but it’s a regional sports network - not exactly ESPN.

I for one hope that the A10’s success will lead to a few games being picked up later this year (Charlotte and others) but also the potential for a revised A10 deal next season.

of course a new A10 commissioner will help too

What restaurants show all of the niners games on TV. I’m guessing maybe Ham’s, can someone help me out and tell me where I can go to watch the game when they are away.

Ditto.

Isn’t MASN a sponsor of the program now?? They have an add on our scoreboard at Halton.

While it isn’t good for watching the game in a bar, channelsurfing.net has almost every A10 game on there. They had our’s saturday. Every team seems to have their games on except when we play someone at home (which I don’t care, but still). I think it’s because of our yahoo feed for the home games though.

New commisioner has two things on their plate off the bat. TV contract and holding officials responsible for the quality of the games they call.

amen to that!
