Good points about X-men and Fantastic Four, the scenes that they were in with the last Scarlet Witch movie were disappointing to say the least, I thought they were going to do a real Marvel/X Men reboot? I guess it got pushed out cause all their stuff sucks now.

I feel you.

They need to slow the hell down and put out less but better content.

Film industry is reporting on multiple sites that Denis Villanueve (Arrival, Dune, Blade Runner 2049) has hired this guy (established screenwriter Eric Roth) to write an adaptation of Arthur C Clarke’s Rendezvous with Rama novel…

To say I am excited would be a huge understatement.

Its Always Sunny Yes GIF by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I saw Godzilla Minus One and loved it. It’s a good movie (not just a monster flick) with characters you care about. The special effects are amazing for a movie with a $15 million budget.

That got me fired up about Japanese movies, so I also saw The Boy and The Heron. Interesting that both of them are about WWII/post war Japan. I enjoyed it as well but liked Godzilla better.

I saw The Iron Claw last night. I knew the outline of what happened there but it still left a mark. I liked going back in time as well to that era of wrestling. It was better than I expected.

Watched Fair Play on Netflix. Solid workplace drama with some edge to it. Worth a watch.

I’m going to have to disagree.

It was fine until the last act… It’s pure feminist revenge fantasy, which is apparent early on, as the antagonist boyfriend is painted with such an absurd brush, but I was on board anyway.

Whole movie falls apart at the end. Completely unbelievable dreck written by someone with a real grudge / plenty of unresolved issues from wasted therapy.

Yeah the end was weird. To think they could have that violent confrontation at an engagement party and family members don’t step in was unbelievable and at that point I thought it might pivot to an insanity viewpoint thing and I thought the girl might kill the boyfriend at the end.

I think the main actress is talented.

She is, but the ending was somehow even more unbelievable than this:

BTW, this is how you do revenge fantasy. Go Shoshana!!

Watched the ā€œā€classicā€ Mulholland Drive tonight.

Yes the movie is full of pretty amazing scenes and Naomi Watts is fantastic but….

Wow it shits the bed in so many ways. Like a lot of Lynch’s work.

Equalizer 3 is on Netflix now.

If you didn’t see it in the theater, strongly advise you catch it on Netflix. Good flick. Finishes off the trilogy pretty nicely, though it is kinda sad that Denzel is getting so old. His age is worked nicely into the story.

This is one of my top 5 film series since 2000. It’s that good.

Coulda put this in the streaming section I guess.

Hopefully this will be good. I haven’t finished the entire series yet. Been meaning to. Does it stay good for it’s entire run?

i thought it did. There was a satisfactory conclusion though, as much as I’d love to see a movie it worries me a that they might mess that up.
