It hasnāt been mentioned but Iām waiting for it with anticipation.
I was a big fan of the first Meg. Pure popcorn entertainment in the best way possible.

So non Star Wars stuff can have light sabers? Pretty cool!!!
This movie trailer would have blown me away 20 years ago. Now I have serious doubts this is anything other than a waste of time.
This was supposed to be a Star Wars movie, but Snyder and Kathleen Kennedy couldnāt see eye to eye so he moved it to his own new IP / universe. You can still see every bit of Star Wars in it though. Thatās probably going to be hard for some people to get past.
I just hope the story is decent. The action scenes look okay.
How does Netflix make money on a big budget movie like that?
You have to ask their analyst / actuary team.
From what I understand, they are trying to hit goals of certain #s of minutes and titles watched, as well as completed, and somehow they translate that into retention and new subscribers data (they probably correlate those categories). Basically, they feel like they need to keep you engaged or you are going to cancel, so they set a minimum threshold. How they determine movie budgets from that is beyond me.
Amazon spending like $500 million or more on LOTR show, plus advertising⦠Good luck justifying that.
Zack Snyder needs to find whoever owns the media rights to Red Rising and make it happen. That Rebel Moon trailer looked amazing.

All delayed because of writerās strike.
Super bummed about Dune 2.
Rebel Moon parts 1 (Nov) & 2 (April) will hopefully hold me over.
A superb movie. A fitting end to the Equalizer trilogy. The only thing more that I could want is for Denzel to go back in time and make more of these. Absolutely loved it. Every movie in this series was good.
Big
from me. Go see it.
Saw āThe Meg 2ā with my son the other day. It was alright, kind of silly in spots, but enjoyable.

Donāt typically like remakes, but this is a 36 year old movie that looks even older than that. Wright might be able to breather some new life into it.
Just learned that he is working with Michael Bacall on the script. Bacall was involved in Project X, Scott Pilgrim, and the 21 Jump Street movie.

I know why they wanna do this, but I am curious how it would go overā¦
What do you guys think? Should they do it?
I fully expect them to bring them all back for the end of the mutliverse saga using multiverse versions of them all and then a soft reboot of the MCU with all new characters with likely only a few actors surviving the move into the reboot.
They should have done that at the end of endgame.
The infinity gauntlet used to do some crazy universe reset that would have allowed them to start from scratch and incorporate the recently acquired X-men and Fantastic Four.
