WTF HAPPENED TO THIS KID?
Man, I guess this thread took a u-turn.
But, for real I would take Mack,Coley, and Harris any day. They are very good athletes work hard and have great attitudes. If we could get more of these then I wouldnāt mind keeping it going.
BTW, Mack reminds me of Curtis, but with a better stroke and handleā¦although he is not the rebounder Curtis was.
I hope we can keep Mox from being a head coach.
Blah, blah, blah...
I feel like I have a stalker. Did they run out of screen names?
I will not stand for any Nash negativity.
Mack really impressed me at first, but Iām a little iffy on him now. Heās not showing that bloodlust for rebounds he was back in November. Also, he needs to stroke 2 point jumpers instead of all these 3ās.
I will not stand for any Nash negativity.QUOTE]
Agreed, I played with Curt in the SAC several times while he was here, and he was as good as anyone on that team and probably has more skill than anyone on our team right now. He was a great guy and had alot of talent, and he did his best to do what coach wanted him to do. It just didnt work out his senior year, but I dont think u can put all of that on him. Mack looks pretty good, I have a love hate relationship with Coley right now. He needs to get a medicine ball and practice rebounding it and catching it off a wall or something to improve his hands. I think he has worse hands than Butter Johnson.
I donāt think as highly of mack as a lot of people do. I think Coley is just fine for what he is.
Nash sucked his senior year. He wouldnāt pass the ball to a guy shooting 137 3s at 40% clip.
Itās funnyā¦I usually am one of the more nitpicky type guys on the board, probably focusing too much on the negative. But,I think iām actually a lot more positive on the team this year than many here.If you look at each of the new guys,in particular, you can find a number of areas each of them need to improve uponā¦Philās aggressiveness, shotā¦Coleyās handsā¦Harrisā off. gameā¦But when you look at the big picture,I think this team is really starting to gel and appears to be forming a personality.Do I think weāre a top 20 team now? Absolutely not! But what I like, and I give Bobby and the staff credit(something that I rarely do,I admit) is that we seem to be becoming a team where each guy knows his role, drastically different than the past 2 years or so.For those of us complaining about Harrisā lack of offensive gameā¦imagine if he spent most of his time jerking up 3ās as an example. For the most part I see us playing hard defensively, and hustlingā¦and after the last few years thatās a great start. And,to tie this back to the original thread(sorry) if Moxleyās the one who scouted S.ILL,than he did a great jobā¦iāve never seen the 9ers as prepared for a tough opponent as we were saturday!

Iām sure thats a good post, but I could hardly read it, break it up a little bit man.

Thank you, Iām not all that high on Mack, actually I think Coley is better. Coley is a BEAST on the defenive end, plus he sparks us when he throws down a dunk (although heās missed a few) on the offensive end. Coley isnāt a bad rebounder as someone said earlier.
Coooley is the better athlete. Mack had a nice game against SIU. He just needs to relax and let the game come to him. He can play.
COLEY IS A BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD MAN!!! I donāt care what anyone says about his rebounding, his defense and athletic spark on the court is what this team needs. Mack is impressing me as well, he had 15 points against Southern Ill. what more do you want?? The more important stat is Coley and Mack combined scored 24, if we can get that every game I would be happy. GO NINERS!
I might be wrong, but I think Nash was our first player to have a tattoo on his neck. He was a trend setter if nothing else.
I believe he was the also the niner to wear a band-aid on his face for fashion reasons rather than medical reasons.

If youāre referring to Phaler (maybe not?):
from http://charlotte49ers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/110905aaa.html
Phaler originally signed with UCLA under Steve Lavin, but was released from his commitment by Lavin's replacement, Ben Howland. He went to New Mexico for two seasons, sitting out his first season as a redshirt following a frightful automobile accident and playing there last year, before heading to Fullerton Junior College, to be closer to his father, Walt, who was battling prostate cancer. [snip] "Coming out of high school, Sean was highly rated and recruited. He has battled injury and family sickness and is obviously very resilient," said Lutz, referring to Phaler's automobile accident in which his car overturned and the Jaws of Life were required to free him, as well his father's successful bout with cancer. "Sean is a talented offensive player who shoots and passes better than most guys his size. He has a great feel for the game and will be a difficult match up due to his shooting range. Sean plays for one of the better teams in the California junior college ranks and has the advantage of playing for a coach who plays a Division One style of play."I'm guessing the back injury in the car accident hurt his athletic ability. I'd like to see him get some playing time just so he can have some fun, but only if we're up or down by 25-30 pts.

If we can keep getting quality production from Coley and Mack then I think we will have a great season.
I think our Jucoās this year, including Harris could go down as some of the best we have ever had in the program.
Moxley and staff have done an excellent job getting these guys.

All the tattoos hurt his touch and drained him of his cheeeeā¦
