NABC proposes changes in recruiting, etc.

From USAToday.com: NABC recommends changes in recruiting, access to athletes

I don’t think I like this 5th year of eligibility. It’s not going to help as far as trying to keep kids in school. The player’s are jumping early with four years of eligibility, so how is five going to help? It could help the mid-majors who have good players that will stay in school, but I think there are going to be more negative side effects from this than positive results. The article didn’t address how many years a JUCO or lower division (DII or DIII) player would get if they transferred.

On a positive spin with this news, maybe Withers and EJ will get an extra year with us should they choose to stay in school. Eddie might even get another year if it goes into effect next April.
