walking through the SAC on the way to class today I saw a handful of guys from the team. Eddie, Curtis and Drayton i easily recognized then there was a shorter guy(thinking either Lewis or Goldwire) and a guy about Withers’ size but twice as wide. I assume this is Nance, I haven’t seen any pictures of him. If this was Nance, wow…he doesn’t really bring up memories of Calvin when you see him. He was huge, but there didn’t seem to be all that muscle on the man. Not really what I was expecting. Of course this really doesn’t matter if he can give us the same solid bench play in the form of rebounds and defense that Clemmons did. But it was just a shock if this guy was Nance, definitely a different body than Clemmons, even if the end result is almost the exact same height and weight.
Let’s hope the butterball can run up and down the floor. I’m sure he’ll be able to beat Iti on suicides regardless.

I heard Nance is ripped so I'm not sure if that's the same guy. (That guy could be Ray Henderson if he really does work in the ticket office) Clemmons was a dissapointment as far as I'm concerned. He certainly had the potential to be very good but it didn't carry over in games. Apparently, he was more concerned with scoring than playing defense and setting others up. If Nance can hold onto the ball and set picks, he'll be just what we need.

OK, thanks, I don’t think it was him then. Just assumed based on his size and who was around the guy. Thanks.
And Clemmons looked for his jump shot too often, I had no problem when he backed people down to try to get a dunk or an easy shot, but his jump shooting wasn’t needed. I hope Nance is either a better shooter or understands that he is on the team to do the dirty work, not score 20 a game. Rebounds, defense and picks, that’s all I ask.

That’s what Nance did at Redlands because he played on a very talented team with several other big guys, including Taj Gray. They played for the JUCO national title. He knows his role and is good at it according to the coaches.
Where did Thomas Fairley go to? He put up some pretty impressive numbers!
Clemmons wasn’t the answer to all of our problems, but I loved his 10 foot jumper. Great arc, rotation, and follow-through. It looked like he had actually been taught to shoot. Of course he was no Butter…

But yes, his form and elevation were tremendous.
His dunk put-back at ECU made up for anything he didn’t do while here. That one play kept me from having to light myself on fire in humiliation at Minges.

I believe this is the dunk you are talking about... and it was a lot more exciting live than that audio clip makes it sound.

Yep, got a free lunch and round of golf off my brother (ECU grad) mainly due to that dunk!
