Horrible. I can’t believe the track is designed like that. I can’t believe he didn’t die on impact.
You know the guy that nudged him has to feel like **** right now.

I’m pretty sure he did, but its all about the doctor calling TOD.
if that track looks like that next time they race there, it should be shut down.

That’s horrible.
I did not know that, he lived for a while?
That’s what the news article the day it happened said. Said he died 45 minutes later.
Wow, that track is bull****.
such a senseless death, look at that wall sticking out like a damn spear, the drivers should never of started the race with a safety issue like that existing
Do not blame the track. The fault lies not on track design, but on NASCAR.
Tracks outside of the US are designed to be run counter clockwise… you turn right.
NASCAR Mexico ignores this and runs the opposite direction that the track is designed to be run.
This is NASCAR’s fault, not the track, not the driver, solely NASCAR.

Wow, did you see the track? It was the track.

Wow, did you see them turning left on a track that is designed for the cars to race in such a direction that they would turn right?
Think outside that tiny little box for a minute.

If what Lew says is true, then it is 100% the fault of Nascar.

That “spear” that the car hit, if you are circling the track in the correct direction, provides a safe place for emergency vehicles to enter and exit the track if needed, or for a disabled car to pull off without slowing the race.
But nooooo… if you’re not turning left, it’s not NASCAR.

I blame Mexico. Who turns right???
Juan Paublo Montoya??? Even he turns left!
EARNHARDT #3 WOOOOO!
Sorry Lew, but you are incorrect. The road course is raced clockwise, but the oval portion has always been raced counter-clockwise.

wow. I’ve watched circle track racing in countries all over the world (British ShortCourse Racing is very entertaining.) and I have never seen cars turn left outside of the US.
It’s a relatively new track, perhaps it was built in anticipation of luring Nascar?
Woe, that cat looks like it evaporated. RIP.
I don’t know Lewwy

I think there is blame for alot of people: Nascar, the track, the car owners, the drivers.
No way I start that race as a driver with that probe sticking out like that.
