Your comparing apples to oranges -> I don’t have the data but I would bet the average salary for a coach in this years NCAA is no more than $300k.
IMHO Lutz is paid very well for what he produces.

If we paid Lutz the same amount Mike Krzyzewski makes, he still wouldn’t be Mike Krzyzewski. However, if he produced like coach K we would be able to afford to pay him likewise. It seems fair to me.
Tom Crean doesn’t deserve what he’s being paid, unless of course Dwyane Wade comes back.

Remove the top 20 coaching salaries, and that number would plummet closer to 200k or lower. Most lower-level schools in the small, one-bid leagues, a coach is lucky to make 200k. And those leagues are prevalent.
