There are no injury redshirts, so this means at least they can’t sit out knowing they’ll preserve a year (Gomez did this)
Gomez only has two years of eligibility, so no advantage to sitting out. It seems that you are insinuating that he wasn’t injured and that Fearne was a party to a ruse.
He wasn’t hurt, at least not the whole year. People will try and sit out to get a medical redshirt. This new rule gets rid of it. That’s all my point is.
Per Colorado HC Tad Boyle on Gomez:
“He played a game and a half for Charlotte, got hurt and had foot surgery, so he didn’t really get a chance to play this year, but he was on the Spanish Under-20 national team and was a key component for them,” Boyle said.
The betting thing alone should make him permanently ineligible to play college ball.

No doubt. This is legitimately insane. God forbid someone tell these entitled babies “no” and holding them accountable for breaking the own clear damn rule that was out there.
College Athletics are an absolute farce. I really don’t know what keeps me interested other than I don’t have anything else to do or boredom without it.

We need to sue the NCAA every game we lose next year and we’ll probably get it overturned. Completely lawless landscape

College Athletics IS a farce, but in this case it seems like the NCAA tried to do the right thing and make Sorsby ineligible and the courts got in the way.
