I just don’t understand the legal reasoning that could have been used to determine this rule does not apply to Sorsby. I guess anything goes until they agree to make players employees. At this point I doubt the lawsuits will stop if they are made employees.
Okay.
Step 1. Have our boosters fund some of our players with inside knowledge to bet big on our games ( win or lose) and win said bets.
Step 2. Take that money and split with players making the bets and the rest fund our NIL. When caught plead addiction take your slap on the wrist and everyone wins. Genius.

This is insane.
They should tell them they are welcome to play him as much as they would like but they will automatically forfeit any wins they get when he plays. He gets to play, their opponents get an automatic win and everyone is happy. No permanent damage done to the poor kid.
All this is just dumb bluster.
- This is a one off situation that’s likely not to reoccur and the NCAA will probably win the eventual trial (they cannot settle. They have to take it to trial).
- The Big12 is going to have their best ratings ever this year.
- This crap about not playing them is dumb. They are going to play. Their fans want football. The networks want the drama.
