So I heard Mac and Bone on WFNZ talking about Isaiah Evans and Henry Veesaar giving up a lot of money by leaving college and dropping into the second round of the draft. So could they still go back to college and get paid, with their rights still belonging to the nba teams that drafted them? It was reported that UNC offered Veesaar $5 million to come back.
No since neither withdrew from the draft.

Okay so I guess the Auburn guy didn’t really enter the draft. He was just eligible because of his age. The rules are very confusing.
What I don’t like about the new 5 for 5 age based rule is that your clock starts at 19 whether or not you are in college or not.
I’m sure there are military and religious exceptions but what if you just aren’t ready for college yet? What if you need to go to community college and get your academics improved to enroll? There are lots of reasons why you might not go to college right away.
Why should age be a restrictive parameter? It’s never been before.
