“The Carolina Way” will now be another way to say you’re cheating. I love it.

“How’d you do on that test?”
“I aced it, the Carolina way.”

HATER.

clt says unc-cheat.

now now. that is no attitude to have. don’t you know? it’s ok for them to cheat. when they get caught it is suddenly entirely the fault of college athletics. at least according to them.

Articles you won’t see in the Charlotte Observer…

I find it laughable that Butch thinks he can get away with this by pinning it all on Blake.

It’s starting to look like everyone knew what was going on, there’s no way Butch didn’t. Unless, of course, he truly is an idiot and couldn’t keep tabs on his own players and coaches.

Even then, starting to sound like lack of institutional control.

“The Carolina Way”, everybody! Throw your old friends under the bus!

Hey HP, don’t forget the Observer and the Raleigh News & Observer are in bed together. Observer MUST report N&O stuff!

Bus throwing article in paper today.

I really believe that when Coach Davis hired Coach Blake, he didn’t do any background check.

Looks like in Chapel Hill, the buck stops nowhere.

fullback added to the list of those out due to the investigation. Ramsey has played in all 4 games for the holes.

Jonathan Smith now ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season.

Marvin Austin is dismissed and then this as well.

Austin also kicked off the team.

Funny comments:

since when does UNC not accept this?
I remember Ed Coda driving around an $70,000 - $80,000 Acura NSX around 1998.

Too bad NC doesn’t have oil wells like Oklahoma and Texas. Then they could pay these players $50. an hour to drive out to sit and watch the wells in case they stop working! That seems to work for OK and UT!!

I lived in Athens, GA back in the days of Herschel Walker. A lot of people questioned how he got his sports car. I can’t remember what kind of car but I think it may have been a Trans-Am.

Joe Morris had an entourage and Mcpherson got a vet.

Must love the Tar-pocrites:
For as long as I can remember, they were above any such nonsense. Operating at a level that is the envy of the entire world. These things happened other places. Not in Chapel Hill.
Now, it’s the age-old cop-out: It happens everywhere.
A double serving of crow and humble pie - HOW SWEET IT IS.

Was that English? You must played football or hoops at UNC…

Let me get this straight. i knew of the black santa when he was hired as an assistant. and Butch did not.? odd

poor butch didnt know what blake was about and they claim to be friends for 30yrs…hmmmmm…its your associate head coach butchy…throw blake under the bus like he is a rogue coach…he was your right hand man…child please…

This whole episode is a blessing. never again in my lifetime will I have to listen to how good unc is and how they didn’t have to cheat because they were morally good. Welcome to reality tarholes. you asked for it and you deserve it.

Send Gary Wichard to jail…then he can recruit for all the tight-ends that he wants. He can decide if he wants to play offense or defense, although his photo makes me think he prefers to be on the receiving team. There won’t be any shortage of balls to play with while in prison, so he should feel right at home. The inmates will quickly teach him what an ‘under-the-table-perk’ really is and the term ‘Red Zone’ will take on a whole new meaning.

And now Bill Friday is voicing his criticism, but also says calling for Davis’s dismissal is premature. Talk about sending mixed messages.

Off topic, but for some silly reason, our coverage has improved since the Raleigh paper started calling the shots.
