you are an alumni right?
I let her know that the poll needs to be for every NINER fan there. NINER NATION supports anyone who supports our teams. Unlike the other organization, we want everyone to be envolved, but just students. Our basketball fans arent just studnets, that is what is great. Everyone says they dont want to copy otehr schools and whatever. Well here is something original…
NINER NATION SHIRTS FOR EVERYONE. not just section 104. not just for lower level tickets. But everyone. season ticket holder? they need a niner nation shirt. student? niner nation shirt. band member? niner nation shirt. bobby lutz? niner nation sports coat!!!
NINER NATION has always had it in mind to support the fans as a whole, not just the students. that’s why we sell these shirts off campus at piccaso’s and make deliveriers every time its needed. I can stress enough how much your voice counts.
WHY HAVEN’T YOU EMAILED SOMEONE ABOUT IT YET?
there are numerous emails you should be sending to voice to. Even if you send one to someone who isnt incharge, they will most likely redirect it to the right person.
All these people can’t make things happens, but they are all people of power. Let them know how you feel, cause i know a few of these names what NINER NATION also, they just can’t change it alone or be bias. start emailing!!!
I have heard/read that you are instrumental in the move to unite the
student sections at Halton Arena under one name. I have seen the name
"Halton Hooligans" bandied about. While this name does sound pretty
cool, I believe it is not a good idea for two reasons. One, it sounds
too much like student section names at other schools (Minges Maniacs
at ECU, Cameron Crazies at Duke, Fogelman Fanatics at Tulane).
Secondly, our student sections already have a reputation as somewhat
of a rough crowd. Andy Katz of ESPN referred to our sections as a
"hard lot." I believe that including the name “Hooligans” will only
further promote this negative stigma that has been attached to our
students.
I would like to voice my support for the name “Niner Nation.” Many
fans, students, and alumni already have shirts with this slogan
attached. Also, it is the name of the primary Charlotte 49ers fan
website and message board (NinerNation.net). This name has proven to
be popular on campus and in the community, and If the student sections
united under this name it could do nothing but help the level of
enthusiasm for Charlotte 49ers basketball.

Whoever has the ninernation.net symbol that was used on all the cafepress apparel and gear should forward that to this lady. Of course taking off the net would be a good idea. I would love to see that logo on a green shirt some day.

We were very close to making that happen but when Mac felt everyone out on here, the interest just didn't warrant going through with it. With the company that we would have gone through to do the green ones, money had to be fronted/products made in advance. That can be a pain if you don't have enough people committed to buying them.
If you scan through the threads, you will likely find the one with some pictures of the green shirts/hoodies. They are really nice.
The idea hasn’t been scrapped all together but just not sure the demand is there.
