The Charlotte Checkers got G Bobby Goepfert from Hamburg of the German Elite League, & F Mike McKenzie of St Lawrence U/Albany River Rats(last year’s Checkers.)
And to think I thought we had a new food option.
I plan on going to a lot of Checkers games this year, since they’re now the affiliate of the Hurricanes. Will be a great way to watch a lot of the Hurricanes prospects in action, including some of their newest draft picks, who (if they don’t make the initial roster) will definitely be suiting up for some games this season.
