New LAX Season Opener

The Lacrosse team’s new season opener will take place this Wednesday, 3/1, at Wake Forest.

Wake Forest comes into the game with a 1-5(0-2) record. Their lone win came against Coastal Carolina

Wake plays in the SELC(SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference) A-division, while Charlotte is in the SELC B-division.

Typically, the A teams are stronger than B teams. However, as Charlotte proved in the fall at Clemson, B teams can and do win against A teams. Wake has already shown that a B-division team can beat them, losing to App State 9-7

Face-off is scheduled for 7 pm @ Kentner Stadium on WFU campus

what makes you a-team vs b-team? luck of the draw or supposed skill level?

Im not 100% certain what the true factor is. There is the supposed skill level, i.e. Division A>Division B.

Ive also heard that the issue of football is a factor. If your school fields a DI-A team, you can play in D-A club lax. But once again, im not sure.

Hey Noah, when’s the home LAX opener?

I’ll know for sure tomorrow night. Some schedules have us playing a game this weekend against Southern Virginia @ home. The schedule on our website has our new home opener on 3/24. Then again, the rescheduled Elon game might be earlier.
