Another 1988 Sunbelt Championship Ring.
This championship ring was given out to players and coaches of the 1988 University of North Carolina (Charlotte) 49ers Basketball Team to commemorate their NCAA tournament appearance as the Sunbelt Conference champions.
THe recipient of this ring was one of the coaches. This coach is a UNC alumnus who went on to play in the NBA. He now is head coach of a major Texas University.

new store in Carolina Mills, across from (i think ) ac moore??? Anyways they have some sweatpants that are grey with charlotte running down the leg, i thought about buying a pair for the wife, then I saw they were $37. They had a few tshirts, of course they all had 15 million things going on each shirt. One was a shade of gree I had never seen any of our apparel be in.
also, footballfanatics has a new item, hoodie and shirt combo for 43 bucks.

Same crummy run of the mill alumni border platesā¦ whatever maybe Iāll get lucky some day. Also, I was irritated by the amount of athletic wear that had āUNC-Charlotteā on it rather than āCharlotteā. I have no problem with it saying this if it is a school or alumni shirt, but if itās promoting the sports teams it shouldnāt.

Target has been doing this for about 3 years now. I guess it would take the following:

Step 2: Dial the number
Step 3: āHi, my name is __________, with the Charlotte 49ers Athletics Department. We would like to get some of our products on your site. Oh, you donāt have our products. Well, our colors are green and white, can we get our name recognized on their for items in these colors? Awesome, make sure that it is just Charlotte. Stop with the āthere isnāt a market for itā crap, Campbell and Charleston shoot that comment out of the sky. A couple of years ago I remember Phil Hendrie talking about Hybrid cars. He was discussing a study that they hadnāt caught on despite gas prices going up. His solution, āmake a hybrid that actually looks nice, and people will buy it.ā Yes gas prices have helped, but the creation of a honda accord, toyota camry and Ford Escape that are hybrids have helped more than anything. A hybrid no longer has a hidden rule that it must look like a giant turd (Prius).
Make a product that looks nice. If its athletics, make it say Charlotte, not UNC Charlotte. Stop with the NASCAR style, 15 different graphics on one shirt. I want a green shirt that has in white block letters āCHARLOTTEā. Canāt find it, never could.

This reminds me, I went to a flag store in Huntersville to get an American flag. She told me to try the campus bookstore.

They also have Campbell and VMI stuff. I went in there almost a year ago, they didnt have anything. I asked them if they had anything, wrote an email to our marketing staff, apparently they have been working on it, slowly it seems. I guess you could say that our marketing staff is actually āslower than Christmasā. I have no clue why they canāt just take 6 flags from the bookstore and let uncommon scents sell them, when they sell out, give them more. As an alum there is no way i am driving down to the bookstore, park on campus just to get stuff.
They do a good job of putting out flags of teams of significance. They had VT ones up outside, when florida won the championship they had theirs up. I wonder whoās will be up today, appaā¦ nah, their soccer team isnāt that great.
Funny story, when I talked to the ladies if they had any Charlotte stuff, they wrote down my phone number, 3 months later they called me, said they had a clock that was Charlotte. (they have these cool wooden clocks). I stop by after work, of course, UNC Chapel Hill.

I had an idea for a plan that make the bookstore the central location, an then have sub areas, this one in lake norman, find one in ballantyne, one in concord, etc. Get that merchandise to sell and then build off of it. Also request NO āUNCā Charlotte stuff. that defeats the purpose. Last I heard they were going to put Uncommon Scents in the game programs to get them more business, but if they donāt sell our stuff I donāt see the point.
