Trump should fly commercial just like George Washington did during the American Revolution.

That is a terrifyingly appalling stat.
I don’t know how my kids are going to make it. There’s only so much help I can give them.
The issue not being discussed is all the institutional / investment company ownership of SF homes. They are keeping prices inflated. If you follow that trend to its logical conclusion, eventually they price almost everyone out and we are back to serfdom and a neo-feudalistic society.
That ignores all the apartments that are being built, which represents the advance wave of the issue.
The amount of money that both Trump and Biden pumped into the economy was incredibly destructive during rona.
Also Blackrock and Vanguard purchasing single family a massive rate is causing a ton of issues. Most of our 401ks are built on that money and it keeps them stable and profitable.
Yeah it’s a real dilemma for all of us older folks who need those 401ks, but they are being propped up by making housing unaffordable for our kids.
Housing is tough. I know up here the market is unaffordable to a lot of people. Rates aren’t helping either
Surprise, surprise.

A little follow up from yesterday’s housing post.
This is a problem. Not sure how it gets solved, but if you take it to its logical conclusion, eventually 90+% of SF housing will be owned by investors. Which means almost all of us will be serfs living on the Lord’s land again. Full circle feudalism.

Expensive houses, expensive money… When does the bottom fall out?
BTW … $450,000 30 year loan at 7% is a total of $1,077,480 in P&I payments. The average house will now cost you a million dollars.
clt says this is simple. 40 or 50 year mortgages.

Well, the supply of pennies was already controlled by demand. Now that everything will be in multiples of 5, I wonder if merchants will round up or down? I think I know the answer to that.
I guess we can afford to spend a billion to renovate a “free” airplane, but we can’t afford to keep minting pennies. Interesting times we live in.
