Niner Gear: $10 T-Shirts @ Finish Line

I went to Concord Mills to buy the top green one, onlye had one and it wasnt my size. Infact they didnt have any mediums there.

I know it’s a couple of weeks old, but Finish Line in the new Northlake Mall is stocked with these. They had about 5 styles of Niner shirts. They also had a nice Niner fleece jacket for $55. It’s grey, and a vintage looking deal. It says UNC Charlotte, but still looks great. They were in the back - not even out yet. The guy said they just got them in, and when he saw me buying two Niner shirts (wearing a Niner shirt and hat) I guess he assumed I was a fan and knew he could sell me on more. I didn’t jump on it, but I probably will. Like a car salesman, he tried to get me wearing in to see how it looked (VERY nice, by the way) and I would have bought it, only I’ve got about $32 left in checking (before the shirt purchase)

His selling point on the jacket was ā€œThey don’t even have this in the bookstore on campus.ā€ After that, we talked a little about how I had bought 5 styles of shirts from Finish Line because of the lack of gear in the bookstore. He apparently thought the bookstore had a good selection of stuff. I told him I’d be sending some people his way to pick up some cheap Niner gear.

Wow, you can tell I’m an English major, can’t you? How did I ramble on and make this a lot longer than it should have been? I planned on just letting you guys know about the stock at Northlake Mall. But, instead, I wrote this. I’m too much of a procrastinator I think. Yeah, that’s what it is - procrastination. How much of a procrastinator am I that I’ll sit here on a Niner message board talking about just how much of a procrastinator I am? I really should stop now…

your typing inner-monologue broke.

However Dicks at Northlake has a scant collection of Niner Gear. Ton’s of ACC crap. Only had some Niner Hats (some of which looked pretty decent). Nice to know that Finish Line is stepping up.

i got a really nice half zip sweatshirt today at the bookstore…just gray, with the C on the left breast…really really nice…simple stuff thats actually quality

It’s not much, but it’s a start. This is the first time Finish Line has had Charlotte gear on their site. They list 3 items (hats), but one of those is a TCU hat.

Finish Line - Charlotte Gear

Dick’s at Birkdale also had Niner shirts and hats last year. The only time I’ve been in there recently was when I was in a hurry to get some golf balls, so I’m not sure if they’ve gotten any new Niner stuff in or not. If/when they do, I’ll move it from the bottom shelf to the top shelf with the unc-chapel hill stuff, like I did last year. B)

On a semi-related note, Bed, Bath and Beyond has REALLY increased their Niner product selection. Every time I go in there, I see something different with our logos. I don’t care for the flip-flops but they even have those as well, among several other items to choose from. Yeah, the carry some of those ā€œotherā€ schools’ crap but I can’t complain when there’s just as much of our stuff along side it. Great place to go for some early stocking stuffers for fellow Niner fans.

Will have to go grab me that first shirt NA has showing…pretty nice looking.

Like what kinds of things? I got one of the mini-basketball sets there a little while ago, I never saw anything else 49er though(I never go too far into that store, just saw the bball set from outside). I have a ton of Niner shirts already, but I’m always up for some of these other products.

Also, any idea on the price for those flip flops? I know someone who wants a pair but they are outragous at the bookstore…

In general, you're gonna have to pay through the nose for all school related gear. That's why these shirts are such a great deal.

I have a UT Vols polo shirt - one that actually isn’t tacky. I thought the price tag was a typo at first. And this is at one of the largest market share schools in the country. Pretty much expect to pay retail plus cost to customize for anything other than simple gear like T Shirts.

It’s alien to our fans, but once we learn it, we’ll buy more.

Which one? I went to the one on South Blvd. and they only had a landry basket thing.

Did most of the stuff there have the good logo - no ā€œUNCā€ included on the logo?

All the stuff at BBB is the new logo if I recall correctly. I was next door today at CompUSA and totally forgot to go in there to get a list of the items.

FYI - Finish Line added a t-shirt to their online store:

Charlotte T-Shirt

The Carolina Mall (in Concord, not concord mills) Finish Line has a nice variety of Niner gear…good prices too…most items have been discussed already, but I figured I bump this thread…nice hoody sweatshirts $20…seem to be good quality and from what i’ve seen lately at grays and the bookstore a lot cheaper…

from C49er’s link…

this little ditti is $39

$20…also saw a white with PINK letters for the ladies

I’ll be making the trip to Concord Mills tomorrow. Does anybody know if the bookstore still has plenty of the ā€œNiner Nationā€ shirts in stock? I plan on dropping by there as well.

Should have them at the game. They did for Midnight Madness.
