Niner Nation Nearly Costs 49ers Game

Looks like the students also get a free guest ticket to the game Saturday. Did the AD just think outside the box? Baby steps.

When I was in school, you could always get guest tickets with a student ticket.

I remember being a student and something got thrown on the court at the ref (Mike something, every 104-er’s arch-nemesis). Coach Lutz immediately walked over and grabbed the mic from the announcer to express his disgust. I think if the ref had escalated it to a warning/technical coach would of rushed the stands…

That night, I cut his picture out of the paper and sauteed it with garlic.
I was wondering about this. It doesn’t seem to be in Major’s nature to do something like that. I wonder if Judy will need to make an announcement.
I love your post.

Free?

Yes.

Even if you couldn’t you could just take several id’s with you and they would give you a ticket for each id. I used to get tickets for my dad and bro in law by doing that.

No doubt.

Why couldn’t security find who did it to kick them out?

You can’t blame the students for the I believe chant. Blame the announcer for announcing it right at the same time the students always chant. He could have waited. I didn’t even know there was an announcement.

Free?
They were $10 when I was in school.

My parents sat 6th row of the first GT home game in the student section because I got two guest tickets for them.

It was always $10 NN, but you should have asked your friends to get them a tix. to save your folks $. You’re a bad son. :))

Guest tickets were usually $10, I remember over Christmas break you could get two free to those games, unless it was ACC.

Oh yeah, there were games where there was a charge for guest tickets, that’s true. But there were free guest tickets as well.

Some of the bigger games I think it was a lot harder to get guest tickets, but I rarely ever needed them as I typically only got 2 tickets and never more than 4.

I don’t usually comment/complain about the “cheerLEADERS”. But is it me, or are they practically useless? They do no LEADING and don’t seem to know when to help get the crowd pumped with chants like DE-FENSE! FORTY… NINERS! etc., at the appropriate time DURING THE GAME. Is their duty now so choreographed and inflexible that really LEADING cheers is not what they do? They do gymnastic stuff during breaks, but seems they are in disconnect when the game is being played. I assume they have a coach/advisor. That person needs to improve what they’re supposed to be there to do.

If we don’t start getting some more arses in the stands they’ll be giving away 2 free tickets for each general admission ticket.

A trauma surgeon I work with expressed interest in going despite not being a Charlotte alum, so whatever. I’m glad there’s people out there that are pro-Charlotte, whatever the way it maybe.

Not sure if serious. It was a serious curiosity of mine. If it was close enough to being a technical it seems something should be said to the students.

For those of us that weren’t there, can someone tell us what led to them throwing stuff? Was there a bad call or were the students just being a-holes? Unacceptable either way.

There were some questionable calls, but nothing that offensive. There are questionable calls in every game on every team ever. Our student section is lackluster and expressed themselves in the worst way possible. At least one person in the student section.

HOPEFULLY, Judy and Alan have now discussed what action to take if/when this happens again.
