Niner Statistics Wanted: Letter to BOT to Remove Judy

Good Morning

I’m going to be putting together my letter to the Board of Trustees today. There have been lots of statistics floating around about things like attendance, Sagarin ratings, etc.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would post any stats you have in here with the source as I prepare to write my letter today so I can properly use the information and cite to the sources.

Anything you think will be persuasive.

Thanks!

Great source for the financial info

Did she not budget more $$$ toward WBB than she did MBB 2 out of the 5 or 6 years? Where do we get that info? Although it is ā€œtechnically okā€, it paints an accurate picture of her true priorities.

Don’t forget the on the court/field stats. No postseason play since 2013 of any kind in Men’s bball. No NCAA appearances since 2005.
Football 17-41 record for Lambert speaks I think for itself. The even more troubling stat is in the last three years we have 3 home wins. One each season 2015: Presbyterian 2016: Elon 2017: UAB
While UAB is a good win, it was a fluke and the other two aren’t FBS teams. Niners over the last three years have left a home football game happy just three times. That is sad.

Does anybody have a link to 49er club revenue statistics?

Saw a tweet with the info this morning. No clue who tweeted it though

And to add to this, she made the baseball team raise their money for an indoor hitting facility, and then immediately allocated over a million bucks for an indoor facility for the softball team.

Anybody got the list of schools that have made an NCAA tournament since the last time we did?

I don’t, but I think the number is roughly 230

Since MBB earns revenue, there is no way to justify WBB getting a higher budget. And baseball raising $ while softball handed $. Sounds like she put us at risk of two reverse Title 9 lawsuits.

227 teams have made the NCAA’s since our last appearance in MBB.

You can sort it by last appearance if you want to see the schools that have been out longer. I also believe the schools in italics are no longer active in Division 1.

To me most damning:

Current Sagarin football 195
There are 130 FBS teams…

Current bball Sagarin 240.
Been in that range 7 years now sans 1 Major year…
top 90 was stated goal by Dubois firing Lutz.

APR was awful under Major kids leaving in mass. We were placed on probation if I remember.

Declining Attendance also data point Dubois fired Lutz for. Justin Houston has that chart all over Twitter

Oh–and football recruiting 127. Multiple years can be found at rivals and 247.

Going to add some trend lines, but 2016 ā€˜over performance’ looks in line with the progression of year 1 and 2. We did join FBS, so that’s some of it.

Looking at Sagarin, we didn’t so much overperform last season as much as we underperformed the season before. We WAY underperformed this past season.

I wanted to see like just our athletic department and donations in like a year by year thing.

RPI

I was a freshman in 1990…so my first 15yrs as a Niner was amazing.
Excellence was the standard and all I knew…for 15 years.

And where the program has been over the last 9 is unfathomable to me. That we could fall that far…and for that long.

Unreal.

Embarrassing.

But…I’m telling you…the #1 influential factor is Conference Affiliation. We will not fix our competitive woes longterm if we do not figure out a way to position ourselves for a move to at least the AAC. It is so much larger than changing coaches or even the AD or Chancellor…unless a new AD or Chancellor could get us into a better Conference. Look at the chart…Conference affiliation and RPI are directly correlated.
