Nice coverage. Every bit helps.
Thanks.
Fordham got a first place vote
Good work, not funny like the Cheney/Saint Louis stuff though.
Thanks for the new sig, Mike!! Great articles.

Now that’s what I’m talking about.
That’s a HOMETOWN paper covering it’s HOMETOWN school.
Great job Mike!!
I don’t care to know the reasoning behind it…but I am proud of the Big O for pubbing the local school. I think this is all we’ve be asking for and expecting from the LOCAL paper. Thanks again!
Excellent. It even started on the front page of Sports.
So, are we getting Ron Green Jr or David Scott? Any news on that?
For the time being, you’re getting David Scott. The opening I had has been frozen. Things could change midseason, or it could be David the whole year.
The story wasn’t quite big enough to take the front page headline, had to have an in-depth report on Raymond Felton’s struggles adjusting to playing in the NBA ONE GAME INTO THE SEASON! Sorry, I don’t care that we weren’t the headline, but just the idea of a headline story about a player struggling after one professional game(two days removed from the game)? Was there nothing else worth writing about?
A lot of good information on us on the inside of the paper though. One picture, it’s of Bobby yelling.
Side note, USA Today has a basketball preview in their paper today and it lists De’Angelo as the 3rd ranked impact transfer(the guy from Auburn who will be playing for Indiana this year is #1). Also says we will contend for the A10 title with GW and Temple, and mentions Withers & Baldwin as key players.

Good, now we know who to starting working.
BRING BACK STAN OLSON!

Excellent idea. Actually, David Scott has not done a bad job this year. If he can just get his editor to start putting his stuff on the first page…
I second what Over40 said. I think David Scott has done a fairly reasonable job. He seems knowledgeable enough. We just need to get a little homerism in him.

I wouldn’t count on that one. He should be an advocate for coverage of your school, but homer isn’t a word I want to hear related to him, unless it’s for the company softball team.

GO TYPOS!!! :shades:
…coverage of your school
Come on Mike. Instead of calling us “YOUR school”, why don’t you try thinking of the Niners as “OUR hometown team”. After all, the hometown team is what can sell lots of papers.
